Although only 19, LA producer AWE has been producing for over 6 years and has recently been making considerable waves in the bass music spectrum. He wishes there were more hours in the day to write music, and is constantly on the prowl for new sounds and textures to throw into the mix..

AWE is influenced by 80's movies, his hometown and the eccentric, colourful sounds of Hud Mo, Rustie and Joker - this is clear from a listen to his sophomore Terrorhythm release ‘Crystals’, forthcoming on January 27th.

Djemba Djemba of Mad Decent and the Team Supreme beat cypher group is on remix duties, stepping up the pace with the ‘Nightcore’ intepretation, completing a doubly dangerous release that is sure to leave listeners in awe.

The Terrorhythm Elements Series continues into 2015 with a two track single from KRNE and Portrait. 

Italics is a track regular listeners to Plastician will be familiar with. Bearing the trademark bass mutations of KRNE, paired with the bright and colourful motifs of Portrait, this one works on so many different levels.

The VIP mix simplifies the track down to it's more potent elements, perfect for tearing in and out of a set with maximum impact - ideal for the quick fingered DJ's out there.

This is the sixth track from my album called "Superposition" called 'Chasing The Clouds'. For this track, I imagined a small airplane flying trough airy clouds in an almost chaotic way. It represents the great feeling of flying as well as silliness and chaos!

ABOUT SUPERPOSITION

S U P E R P O S I T I O N - is a chiptune album which apart from having heavy influences from game console music (Such as Nintendo, Gameboy and Commodore 64) also has many influences related to our universe. There are crossovers to quantum physics, robotics and chemistry which is a silver thread throughout the album.

"While making the music for Superposition I worked hard on creating dynamic parts and I was aiming for an album that travels from a happy, playful and energetic mood over to a somewhat melancholic feel.

A whole lot of heart went into making this album. Most of the tracks reflect certain moments and occurrences from this past year.

Fun fact 1: The track name 'Ms. Bed Burrito' emerged from what I use to call my wife when she is sleeping (with the sheet around her all curled up looking just like a Burrito).

Fun fact 2: My colleague at work seemed to have a favorite word - 'Douchebag" which he seamlessly shouted out every day. This was the starting point for the 'Douchebag Rumble' chiptune."

Retro-Active Pt. 1 Remixed, as the title implies, is the remix album of Keiji Yamagishi's critically acclaimed debut Retro-Active Pt. 1: store.bravewave.net/album/retro-active-pt-1 

Keiji Yamagishi is a Famicom-era pioneer and has composed music for some of the most beloved gaming franchises, notably Ninja Gaiden, Tecmo Bowl, Captain Tsubasa, Dynasty Warriors and Gitaroo Man. In this remix album, he's joined by comrades Chipzel (of Super Hexagon), Kozilek (Nuclear Throne), ABSRDST, and other friends to squeeze out the potential of the original album's melodies.

Enchufada head honcho Branko really does rack up the air miles on his material. His debut solo album ATLAS arrives on September 4th - the result of a musical pilgrimage across 3 continents, collaborating with 20+ artists at the Red Bull Studios in Amsterdam, Cape Town, New York, Lisbon and São Paulo. That final stop-off saw him buddy up with baile funk superstar MC Bin Laden and nascent tag-team, Marginal Men.

Today we present one of the fruits of that meet up. "Louca" is minimal in its approach; still dressed in Afro-Brazilian pitter-patter and no less sprightly, but drizzled with a near-grime bleakness rather than bleepy pandemonium.

What's more, on September 4th we'll be joining forces with Red Bull São Paulo in celebration of Branko dusting off his LP. Branko, MC Bin Laden and Marginal Men will be joined by local starlet, Viní, for a special broadcast from the centre of Brazil's most populous city. On her debut album, Salt, Roseau uses her amazing voice effortlessly to marry playful melodies and flowing harmonies. “Grab” is a highlight of the album, which has deservedly found a home on Big Dada, with @Tarquin-1 giving it his distinctive, twisted treatment on this remix – peppered with mutant snares and Roseau's warming vocals as the cherry on top.

The young maverick has a very long list of credible co-signs to his name (Murlo, Slackk and Mr. Mitch to name a few) and his last single on Gobstopper, Kid U, is pretty much as euphoric as instrumental grime can get. He is definitely a name to watch out for in 2016.
