Hey there!
Kiru and I had the honour of participating in ANV10 this year, and this was the track that we created. It's about realizing the way you've been living is all twisted, and the drive to change that.  The track started with the "deliver me from sin" idea that is the prechorus to this song, which spawned the verse lyrics, which lead to Kiru coming up with the chorus.
When it was time to start producing, I had a blast making the "bitpop"-y verses while Kiru went crazy mode on the chorus. 
I think what made the transition between our respective sections so smooth is that we split the middle in half. I produced the initial acoustic-sounding offshoot from the verse, while Kiru followed it up with a more EDM-focused second half that really lead in well to his drop.
During the contest we produced endlessly with short breaks in between, but it never felt like we were running in circles. This is what makes the song special: it was produced stream-of-consciousness style. I don't know if it was in the caffeine of the tea I drank or the spoonful of lion's mane I had that morning, but we were able to quickly capture 70-80% of our vision for a section and move onto the next. 
It felt special to me particularly because this was the first time I gave a vocal performance I was (mostly) satisfied with throughout, especially in the timbre of my singing.
The most important thing that made this track was the time constraint: it forced me to invest time in the most "bang for your buck" elements, and forgo excessively sweating the details. Ironically, because of that, this turned out to be the most complete and detailed song I've made so far.
I want to thank ANV10 for hosting this competition because without them this song would've never been made, and Kiru, for inviting me to be his collaborator, being a legendary teammate, and providing me with the fantastic opportunity to supercharge my skills as producer.
