On the second release of the year, The Magic Movement put together an eclectic minicompilation featuring Islandman, Sphynx, Mux, and Anton Kling! Just in time for spring, these four brand new tracks will bring some sun and heat to the finally reopened dancefloors!
The compilation kicks off by welcoming the Istanbul-based electro-acoustic band Islandman to the family. Their ‘Magic Workout’ is a house-infused downbeat ride blended with percussive synths and crispy beats. Inspired by Fela Kuti and Tony Allen, this fresh interpretation is the perfect start for a long night on the dancefloor. 
Next up we have ‘You’ by Anton Kling. The Swedish music producer delivers an atmospheric late-night tale. His sound palette of lamenting vocals, reversed synth snippets, and hypnotic lo-fi drums catapults you to a dreamy place located somewhere between Four Tet and Max Cooper. 
After releasing an astonishing EP on The Magic Movement in 2021, Mux from Naples is back to take it up a notch with ‘Call of the Clan.’ 
On this irresistible UK-bass dancefloor banger he combines a massive bass with syncopated drums and euphoric vocals. Rave On!
Last but not least, Sao Paulo duo Marcio Vermelho and Pedro Zopelar, a.k.a Sphynx, wrap things up with ‘Duna.’ We love their signature sound featuring various vintage synths, drum machines, and guitars, which make this funky proto-house jam the ideal soundtrack for a Balearic sunrise.

An intriguing and revealing hypnotic immersion from the enigmatic duo JUNA.

"Archetipo" explores the landscapes of the unconscious.
The word "persona" in Latin means mask: thus the personality, the scenery of the ego, is transformed into a theatre of archetypal images, merging word and music, like a rhetorical figure, a synesthesia. The aesthetic-musical research is a poetic-sound journey into the psyche, to tell and celebrate it.

Hell Yeah has commissioned a series of remixes of Before, the critically acclaimed album Calm dropped on this label in 2022. First up is the Is It Balearic? Recordings founders Coyote with two versions of Liminal Moment.

First up is the Coyote Dream mix, a post-rave soundtrack, a blissed-out comedown with gorgeous melodies and smeared chords over rubbery drums that soothe the soul. Then comes the Coyote Acid Dream Mix, which is a deep, dubbed out and pulsing journey laced up with soft 303 lines and celestial chords. It's the sort of track that takes you to the heart of a steamy 5 am dance floor and locks you into a hypnotic state. 

Following this great start to the remix series, next up are Willie Graff & Gallo with their take on 'I Love You.'

Two classically trained musicians from vastly different traditions, MD Pallavi and Andi Otto came together to create a jewel of a record in ’Songs for Broken Ships’ and Multi Culti have whipped up a stunning remix package for it featuring Simone de Kunovich, Auntie Flo, Peter Power, Kaleema and more.

Hailing from Bangalore, trained in Hindustani music and poetry since childhood, MD Pallavi’s beautiful voice makes an elegant companion to cellist / composer / producer Andi Otto’s idiosyncratic and unconventional style. Andi’s music has featured on labels such as Shika Shika and Pingipung (which he co-runs and curates) and, of course, Multi Culti, who released his previous album ‘Bow Wave’ which featured his first collaboration with Pallavi.

While the heart of "Songs for Broken Ships" showcased the duo's unique meld of cross-cultural folktronica and acoustic ballads with MD Pallavi's poetic Kannada verses at the core, "Remixes from the Clouds” reframes these elements for a vast spectrum of electronic listeners and club go-ers. 

An ethereal hypnotic techno re-interpretation of ‘Prayer to the Cloud’ from Italian producer Simone de Kunovich. Scottish ambient maestro and mushroom aficionado Auntie Flo's ecstatic reinterpretation of "Clockshop". Multi Culti veteran downtempo wizard Peter Power's organic and earthy rendition of "Prayer to the Cloud." The mystic sounds of Kaleema breathing new percussive life into "Clockshop". The package concludes with a 'prayer-a-pella' version of "Prayer to the Clouds", spotlighting MD Pallavi's vocals in their purest form, for DJs and producers seeking to slather their rhythms with spiritual voice.

The Multi Culti imaginarium also present an expanded digital package that includes mixes from Hannah Lee, Bliz Nochi & Emil Jourjou, Migramara, and Poligra. In the words of Shawn Christopher: "people from all nations, dancing together." Celestial harmony, one 12” at a time.
