Under the alias Daedelus, Alfred Darlington has been an instigator of electronic music culture for the past 25+ years. A fore-figure of Los Angeles' Beat Scene, they have released 20+ LPs, countless EPs, remixes, and additional productions on labels such as Ninja Tune, WARP, and Brainfeeder. As a performer they're synonymous with controllers, from the grid Monome to computer-free modular, and have played over 1,000+ shows on 6 continents at events ranging from Boilerroom to festival mainstages such as Coachella.

Dj at Dublab, founding faculty member for the Berklee College of Music's EDI (Electronic Digital Instrument) program, and S.E.T.I. artist in residence.

Daedelus has begun to live up to their Greek mythological namesake.

Persons is an experimental music group based in Hamilton, Ontario. Persons are Jackson Darby, Katie McDonald and Benita Whyte.

Persons aim to challenge audience perception while indulging the inevitability of rhythm, rhyme and repetition. Through offbeat techniques and wild-card artistic decisions, Persons combine the novelty of quirk with the accessibility of song, subverting popular music styles such as rap, dance and house music. The visual component of Persons plays an important role in their live sets, allowing for exploration of movement and space while referencing notions of theatricality, performativity and excess.  

Persons began in Montreal as a solo venture by Darby under the moniker Nick Persons and has grown to include live drumming, dancers and guest instrumentation. The current configuration of three vocalists and one producer is a sample-filled, laptop and synth-based musical experience featuring driving beats, energetic dancing and performative antics.
