Hello there! So, this one was a fun one.
As you can tell by the title, this one was yet another collab with my lil' brother that we did on my computer. I had a lot of fun working on it and I'm sure tee did too!

This one's partially an update to my old cover, but clearly more of it's own thing as it features tee's style and mine rather than just mine. Regardless, I think it's a good listen! Let tee and I know what you think.

Happy Deltarune Chapter 2 day!!! It's a pure coincidence that I had this track finished today. Once you see this video, I'll be loading up chapter 2 for the first time and see how the new music is!

Does this track sound a lot different than my entire library of music? That's because I'm using a completely new sample library: EastWest Hollywood Orchestra Opus Edition. I still love all the Cinesamples and 8Dio stuff I've been using, which is much easier to get that rich, luscious feel right out of the box. However a lot of times I want to be much more specific with the kind of articulation I want out of the instruments, so I used this track to practice on EWHO. Each instrument's base level is a lot flatter, and requires a lot more parameters to adjust to get it to sound how I want, but I can see the potential. I created a new project template that has a whopping 275 tracks!!! 40GB of RAM used if I activate every sample lol. Even the reverb I'm using is completely different, and I'm hoping as I improve, my music sounds more and more like a live performance.

My approach to this track is a pre-cursor to another track I want to take the same approach to that I will arrange soon. See if you can guess what it is (one of the Final Fantasies). I didn't read too much into the context of the town before Ralsei's castle, and just wanted to make a track that romanticizes the town from a time when it was thriving, full of activity and celebration. While you walk through the deserted street and hear this music, you get a tinge of sadness, melancholy, and want to reminisce about the happy days.

I made 2 iterations of this track before I settled on what you hear. The first version was a straightforward soft waltz orchestra, where I listened to a ton of waltz examples from Strauss and Tchaikovsky. That probably would have been a more "faithful" arrangement, but I liked the idea of telling a story with the music. Also, I count this as a "do-over" of my The Legend arrangement. Hopefully you'll find this arrangement more dynamic and interesting. It's admittedly a little overboard, as you can pretty much leave the area in 30 seconds and never hear the music again. HAHA.

DELTARUNE Orchestrated - Empty Town

Berdly's theme and its variation in his boss fight are an interesting contrast. Toby fox has the first note used as a pick-up to the 1st beat, while in the fight it is the down beat. It's a little disorienting to the listener being shifted slightly. If we consider the theme to be more in line with Berdly's personality, then the battle theme can be interpreted to be Berdly acting not completely in character, as he is manipulated by Queen. Queen's theme is very classical/baroque sounding, with a hint of carnival, and I thought it would be cool to have the Smart Race portion of the track start more action/cinematic, but slowly transition toward more classical style music.

The Berdly portion of the track is coincidentally waltz style again. Perfect, since I just arranged Empty Town, and I think I got the instruments to sound even more natural and expressive. That being said, I only spent 5% of total work time on Berdly, because Smart Race is crazy…

I usually slow the orchestra down when the original is a chiptune, because it's usually too fast, but in this case I wanted to challenge myself to make the orchestra play just as fast. I settled at a blistering 145 mph (I mean bpm lol), just slightly down from the original's 150bpm. And I still have instruments play 1/16 notes. It's absolute madness! I knew this was possible to pull off after hearing the boss music in Final Fantasy VII: Remake translated to orchestra with increased speed! As the first fight with Berdly takes place on bumper cars on a track, I had F-Zero GX in my mind the entire time arranging this.

Even at this fast pace, I wanted to bring out the "classical/romantic" sound as I previously mentioned really show Queen's manipulation. I didn't really notice that her theme actually plays in the intro. I just thought it was just some flourish until I listened closely with my headphones. My unique approach here is that I arranged the orchestra section first without any percussion, like I was simply creating Mendelssohn-sounding music, but then later dropped in the percussion layer. Hope you enjoyed this technique because I am proud of how much nuance I put in the "performance." Different parts don't just play in harmonic chords, they have their own counterpoint melodies. I also probably did the most amount of "air conducting" to the music, just standing at my desk and waving my arms to feel each section come and go with the right emotion.

Thank you for hanging on with us until the end of the soundtrack. I'm fairly sure there aren't any other important songs left to cover so I'll just post the bonus small songs that are left. This one, for instance, takes some inspiration on the Spider-Man 2 game Pizza theme song, except instead of speeding up, it slows down. 
So yeah, that's the end of it. Nothing of great importance after this. Keep an eye tomorrow for the next bonus of absolutely no importance whatsoever that no one could possibly be expecting.

Happy birthday, Undertale.

A long time ago, there was a project dedicated to getting everyone to pitch in to cover the entire Undertale soundtrack, one person per song. Everyone was randomly assigned a number between 1 and 100, with MEGALOVANIA being reserved for a specific individual who was a pretty notable kingpin in the community at the time. Somehow, I rolled number 71, and was thus assigned the cover of "Undertale".

The cover, which was admittedly much more of a reimagining, never went public as the project never ended up getting far enough for it. I wanted to take this opportunity to finally show this cover to the world, though with a bit of a modern Toadie flair to it. Compositionally it's pretty much exactly what the cover used to sound like, it's just got better instrumentation and mixing.

I've got a lot more thoughts about... well, just about everything that's happened since this wonderful game reached me. Too much, and frankly a little too personal, to just put in the description. Instead, I've prepared and will be adding to this document.

I'm back. (kind of)

Once again I want to say Happy UnderTale's 10th Anniversary, and this song is what I do in order to make sure that I am still moving forward in skills, and I think this year is kind of disappointing for me since all I do is just doing some commissions and grind off camera so I couldn't improve much in music the way I wanted to. So, this song for me is actually the same quality as last year (which is bad)

Last year I made a song that I think will never reach the attention of you guys like the 8th Anniversary, but I am probably wrong lol. Thank you all for supporting me even tho I posted like 3 songs last year on SoundCloud.

This 10th Anniversary is a big one, so I have prepared for something different. But about 3 days ago I posted a song to announce you guys that my Happy 10th Anniversary is cancelled due to bad management of time, yes that's still true since I actually finished this song in the last hour but couldn't finish the second part.
Amaya also got some hard time doing the video for both of us, so this is kind of tuff. Wish the best.

2024 was a terrible year, I literally got actual suicide from it without knowing but 2025 is like the payback for what I have been through. If you guys don't know, about 1 month ago my mom bought me a new laptop which is like 20 times stronger than my old one which is insane. The limitation I got in my music (which is the device) is completely solved. So, from now I want to say I will no longer be able to blame my device for my music quality ever again, it could be bad for me, but I also will be able to limit break in this time. By the way the song is made before I got my new laptop so it's still had a little limit in mixing or instruments choices. I also recovering the files I lost from changing device so it will take time for me to actually get better. But let's see what I can do the next year!

About 2 years ago I said that I will make hope and dreams for 10th, ig that's a lie.

Btw I forgot to tell that in summer I actually got a commission that I somehow completely went insane on it, yes for one of the rare moments that I actually think one of my songs is insanely good. It was a commission from... What is the game name again? UBC something, I did like 1 song (the one that I'm talking about) and the intro of 1 other song like outer as I remember (the chill opening). So yeah stay tuned for the true release of that song (It might take a long time to release since the owner is in his hard time, wish for the best)

Hopes And Dreams (10th Anniversary Arrangement) - Undertale

UNDERTALE. 
A game that I cannot begin to describe with words. It's an experience, something that sticks with you for a long time. It teaches you that not everything has to resort to violent acts, that everything is possible with the power or LOVE.
I owe it all to this game, for it is the sole reason I find myself in the position I am today. It is through this game that I have met so many wonderful people that I am proud to call my friends.
This community has had its' ups and downs, but it really shows how much this game thrives, even after 10 years.
Discussing the game, sharing fan-content that people end up cherishing for days on end, coming up with silly theories, making AUs. Those are all things that resulted off a game made in a basement. So, much like last year's anniversary post, I want to deeply thank Toby Fox for creating UNDERTALE, for without him, we wouldn't be here. 
Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy this rendition of Hopes and Dreams. I had fun making it.

Spring is just around the corner! That means that Spring Suite finally is, too, so it's time to show a preview for it, my favourite part of the suite and one of my favourite parts of the soundtrack in general, Dummy! This has ended up as one of the most ambitious things that I've ever written.

The Mad Dummy is an odd one. He kind of just shows up with barely any relation to the story, then disappears again almost immediately. Despite this, he ended up as one of my favourite characters by way of managing to cram so much personality and one of the most fun battles in the game into that short time. His battle music, Dummy!, is also one of my favourite tracks in the soundtrack, an extremely catchy reprise/remix of Ghost Fight, Napstablook's battle theme. I've had this idea for it for a very long time and it was very fun to finally be able to put it together like this. My only regret is that it kind of makes my own arrangement of Ghost Fight sound pathetic, but I suppose that that's fitting in its own way.

Spring Suite will be out next week, on March 22nd!

An Evening with the Underground Symphonic Orchestra is a two-hour symphony/orchestral score based on the work of Toby Fox from the soundtrack of Undertale, reimagined as an orchestral work from Undertale's mix of 16-bit-ish and MIDI sounds and arranged into an imaginary film score. Undertale is one of my favourite games of all time and has one of the most intelligently-written soundtracks that I know, so this is the least that I can do to pay tribute to a game that means so much to me. The full album should be released in late 2019.

and here's the final part of Core Suite, an arrangement of Death by Glamour! I feel like you can tell which tracks from the original soundtrack are my favourite ones from how they turned out.

As you can tell, I tried something completely new with this track. This is my first ever attempt at realistic guitars, achieved here by Impact Soundworks' Shreddage 2 plugin, which I'd highly recommend. It's incredible just how far soundware technology has come since I started writing music, because I always felt like electric guitars were the hardest instrument to emulate, and yet here we are. This is by far one of my favourite things that I've ever written, and I'd love to write more music like this in the future.
