The Ar-Kaics have been delivering their off-brand, spot-on garage rock originals out of Richmond, VA, via a flood of small press singles and a self-titled debut album - all of which have since become highly desirable in the collectors market - and several successful DIY tours across the lower 48, with shows in Canada and Europe to boot. 

In the summer of 2015, the group hooked up with Wayne Gordon and Mikey Post of Wick Records to record a couple tracks at the Daptone Records' House of Soul, resulting in 2016's critically acclaimed "Just My Life" b/w "It's Her Eyes" 45. After the success of their debut single on Wick plans were hashed to record their sophomore full-length, which took place over three days in the Spring of 2017, at Adrian Olsen's Montrose Studio in Richmond, VA. Produced by Wayne Gordon (Black Lips, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, John Spencer Blues Explosion) and Mikey Post (Reigning Sound, The Jay Vons), the fruits of the heady three day retreat produced the forthcoming long player, In This Time ...a low-brow journey through the teen-beat sounds of the 1960's...and beyond!

Pass The Hours

Originally a solo project recorded in a wardrobe under the moniker Smooth Dad, Buffet Lunch is the brain burps of Perry O’Bray, embellished by a northerner, a Kiwi and 2 Scots. Namely Luke Moran (Bouviér), Neil Robinson (Mazes), John Muir (Jack Lee Band, DTHPDL) and David MacDonald (Jack Lee Band, DTHPDL). They all met in sunny Edinburgh when Perry moved up from London and put some adverts out for band members on gumtree. Please will you join my band (be my friend), please please please. Perry likes writing songs about slimy snails, moths and other nightly creatures, sometimes in new trousers and trainers. Angular guitars on a bed of seaweed and rhythmic percussion. ‘The Snail EP' will be available as a digital download on Permanent Slump 25/1/19 and on cassette direct from Perry whenever you fancy. Expect a video for 'We All Have Hobbies'.

Debut 7" from Melbourne's BANANAGUN !! 

Dim the lights monsieur! Set the table, light the candle! Because its dinner time and Bananagun are cooking up! 

The band has been jamming in the ether for semi-millennia and now the stars have aligned, the current climate calls, the people want to laugh. 

Their debut single>>> “DO-YEAH” 
In a big iron pot about yay big, throw in some spiced djembe, a dash of timbale, x 1 drum beat, plenty of chanting (for the flavour). Throw it in the river bass for 5-10 minutes until golden, sprinkle with some love flakes and your looking good! 

Now flip it over and you have “TOPCAT”. 
Same beat, slightly more bop. Walk beside an alpha male for 25 years, milk (for cat) x 3 horn section, blanch some garlic and ego puree’ serve it hot!
