Biography:
Maakra (Maxim Kraynov) is a Russian musician from Smolensk, a sound designer, creator, DJ, and radio host. He is a resident of the indie label Dark Nouveau and has participated in a number of local and underground festivals. A former rock drummer with over 20 years of experience, he was a member of the legendary Smolensk avant-garde trip-rock band "With Knees Like Birds." He is a graduate of the New Tone Academy, where he completed a sound synthesis course taught by Daniil Smirnov. Since 2017, he has almost completely transitioned to a digital environment, gradually acquiring external sound and noise devices. His drum kit and love of bass guitar riffs have evolved into a setup consisting of Ableton Live, AKAI APC 40, Elektron Model Cycles, Korg Volca Bass, and a homemade Noise Box. Currently developing the hybrid format Dawless & DAW—an electronic musical journey through the live jam session Synthesis & Sampling—he broadcasts on his VK and YouTube channels. Techno, dub, IDM, and ambient are presented in his own unique interpretation, created here and now, layer by layer, like sand mandalas.

Please welcome to the show tonight, Matt Schulz, a German electronic music producer and DJ hailing from the small town of Gardelegen.

Matt is a Dj and Producer who crafts immersive soundscapes in the realms of deep/dub techno, tech house, and hypnotic techno. 
Matt has carved out a niche in the underground electronic scene, drawing on the warm, echoing pulses of dub techno to create tracks that reward patient listeners with layers of atmospheric depth and subtle euphoria.

Matt's has some incredible releases on DimbiDeep, Deeptakt Records, Insectorama, Melotonin, Superordinate Dub Waves and Piranha Siberia Dub, to name but a few.

Though not a fixture in massive festival circuits, Schulz's influence thrives in intimate, underground spaces—through podcasts like his 2024 Askensound mix of dub techno and dub house, and releases that prioritize sonic immersion over commercial sheen. 
At its core, his music is a testament to persistence: a sonic diary of "ups and downs" in production, inviting listeners into a hazy, eternal gaze where boundaries dissolve. 
As dub techno continues to evolve, Matt Schulz remains a quiet architect, building worlds one echoing chord at a time.

Biography:
ENERCUBE — a sonic alchemist from Siberia. Oleg Nabivachev, better known as ENERCUBE, is a sound producer and master of subtle sonic states, originally from Biryuch. His music is not just techno — it’s an inward journey. A language spoken in silence. An energetic architecture, where every chord is not an accident, but a structural element of the inner world.

ENERCUBE is the co-creator of Oldschool_Dubtechno .Producer, a project born in deep synergy with his brother, X_FR. Together, they turn sound into landscape and rhythm into space. Biography: 
Drake Lawrence (AKA d.lawrence, Benn Horne) is as an artist, producer, composer, and DJ originally from Los Angeles, CA but finds his new home in Portland, OR. As Founder of Pretty Ready To Dance Records, he has released a collection of dub-infused techno/ambient/downtempo tracks since 2019, via Crossfade Sounds, Calm Coastlines, SubSensory, and Whiteline Music. Collaborating with a wide range of artists such as, FNDO and Saw Tooth Wave, he has been able to remix tracks across international borders and genres. With his inspiration deriving from classic house, acid, techno, and ambient, d. takes dancers on a journey through the cosmos. With a subtle touch, he is able to seamlessly blend genres in order to create something entirely new and fresh.

Biography: 
Formerly known as a techno DJ/producer and co-founder of Underground Noise Records — the first Uruguayan label fully focused on techno — he began his musical journey under the aliases Raptor K, Unbekannt, and others, releasing EPs, albums, and remixes on labels across South America, the USA, Europe, and Japan. In 2010, he introduced the moniker FloorFan, taking a more minimalist, dub-techno-oriented approach. After a six-year hiatus, he returned in 2023 with Horizons, his comeback EP, and has since released music on respected labels, with his work featured on podcasts and in clubs like Globus at Berlin’s legendary Tresor. Nevertheless, he likes to define himself as "just another fish in the ocean of electronic music."

The fact that the mighty St. Germain entrusted long-time friend Atjazz to be the opening act on his comeback album tour – 15 years after his last LP – speaks volumes about the UK house/afro/soul/jazz fusionist’s reputation. Producing since the mid-’90s when he released early material on free party legends Digs & Woosh’s DiY Discs imprint in tandem with scoring music for computer games (the original Tomb Raider, no less), he has had a prolific and hugely varied output. Five full-length albums; remixes for the likes of Nitin Sawnhey, Jazzanova, Bob Sinclar and of course St. Germain; his labels Mantis Recordings and now Atjazz Record Company; a collaborative project Version alongside Charles Webster; his catalogue is burgeoning. It made for ripe pickings for a soulful journey in his Monologues mix, packed with exclusives, classy vocals and the breadth of his styles.

*How would you describe your sound?*

Seriously hip-shaking beats with a very soft centre!

*What and who inspires you and influences your sound?*

I've always been inspired by jazz and Herbie Hancock is my hero. He's never stood still, he's always changed his sound, he's always innovated and his curiosity with technology is the same as mine. I also love Weather Report, anything on ECM and modern hip-hop soul. House music isn't something I listen too; it's something I live and do.

*Can you tell us a little about this mix and what it means to you?*

I wanted to create a mix that spanned across a few different times of my life, to show a little of my influences, collaborations and remixes, a tater menu if you will! There are many more better known pieces of work but I wanted to show a little more of "me".
