AGUMA - Tacenda

Re-Release of the high acclaimed album “Virtual Outback” (originally released 2000 as part of the strictly limited and long exhausted 5-CD-boxset “Contemporary Works II”).

„Virtual Outback“ was just one single track: the elegiac 65 minute „The Theme: The Rhodes Elegy“, one of the most favorite of many Schulze fans.

The bonus track is from a filling work for the Chinese mass rally „China Millennium“ on the occasion of the turn of millennium  200/2001. After Klaus‘ delivery the Chinese government said: “NO – WAY”! First Klaus used the old Mao song, divided by cutting and transposing, and second he used an ethnic sample from Mongolia. That wasn’t possible too, due to the fact that Mongolians are a minority in China. The Chinese government stated: either you respect all minorities or no one.

Dutch DJ and producer Vincent Kriek aka HP Vince is returns and has joined forces with fellow Dutch artists Acid Junkies aka Harold de Kinderen and Stefan Robbers on the sublime Acid 1988. With an impressive repertoire at Bonzai, we're delighted to see Vincent back at the helm. His back catalogue contains numerous mouth watering progressive, trance and tech cuts that continue to inspire. His last Basiks outing - City Jungle, gained great support and gave us a crucial insight into the diversity of this guys talents. Harold and Stefan bring their no holds barred party style to the Basiks table. They love to mix it up at gigs and play to the crowd with the music they love.  They play no particular style as their philosophy is purely about the music and the joy it can bring. The best part of 20 years together have allowed them to take raw acid sounds and add their own ingredients to come up with some of the coolest cuts around, great to see them on board and hope to see more in the future.

We kick off with HP Vince's Mix that sets the scene for an evolution of sound and acid grooves. A smooth and steady tempo is driven by punchy kicks, crispy hats and sharp claps that form the perfect platform for the track to thrive. The acid line arrives and from here you get locked on for the duration. Expertly tweaked parameters ensure maximum acid effect complete with some very, very cool vocals that give the track a true retro feel. Amazing stuff that will definitely get the attention of many.

Acid Junkie's Mix is up next and picks up perfectly where the previous mix left off. A faster paced groove ensues with the acid tweaks coming thick and fast, ever evolving and cascading beautifully over the sound. The addition of archived news reports narrating on the drugs link to acid house is a nice touch and feeds into the 20th century pop culture which touched o many. A brilliant display of retro acid that will evoke lots of memories from yesteryear.

DJ Vincenzo take it to the next level with his remix ass the acid lines are taken up an octave and the drums are given a techno makeover. A very raw sound comes through which is perfect for acid house. The spoken vocals are a great insight into the talk of the time around the acid scene. The kicks are beefed up and given a punchy electro vibe which will definitely appeal to many, top notch stuff indeed.

Based in the beautiful capital of Spain, "Rotten City Records" is run by Alvaro Cabana, one of city's finest djs and half of "Los Lopez" duo. After a first offering by "Nein" labelheads "Tronik Youth" backed with no less than "Red Axes" and "Richard Sen" remixes, second outing is another duo affair.  Canadian duo from Toronto "Jokers of The Scene" met Club Bizarre french lads during a recent european tour and this Ep is the result of two days recordings together. Nonetheless we will focus here on the dark synth-laden remix by mighty british producer "Timothy J. Fairplay", another LYO long time favorite ! 250 copies in stores at the end of the week so you won't die waiting for that one :)

Nocta Numerica meets the 2018 with very special release and this is the first collaboration between the label and one of my favorite electronic music artists: Timothy J. Fairplay. He doesn't need to be introduced. Everyone into the game knows who is that. 
"I’ve always been a contrary f**ker” -  thats what he say about himself. For me the guy is genius who does not resemble to anyone.
For this ninth release, TJF made a 4-track EP in his unique and reconizable style - solid release that can not be ignored.
I am very happy to collaborate with Nocta Numerica for the first premiere of the EP with the track "Pure Hex" -  5 minutes energetic cosmic flight with chic air percussion and romantic synthesizers - certainly the main decoration of the release.
"An Introduction To Consumer Electronics" will be out at the begining of 2018, limited to 300 copies. Don't sleep on this one !

"...Next up steps Sharif Laffrey to remix ‘Techno Cave’. For me Sharif’s productions are like a modern take on the Ron Hardy vibe. It literally is mental edits, fat as you like analogue house, and a sound that makes me want to go and hear them out in a club. For me he sort of (massively accidentally) seems to pull together some of the best music of the last 30 years in a modern way. It’s like the cuts and edits from the Latin Rascals meets the aforementioned Ron Hardy vibe of cut and paste disco with mad bottom end and fx in a modern and warm production style. He’s ace. Ah yeah the mix… Again its proper messed up edited house for the heads that would weirdly work on any dancefloor."
