Celestial Trax returns with new work of tonal-textural explorations.
On 'Lifecodes' the producer born Joni Judén weaves together a dense quilt of sound, shimmering and surging as it unfolds in free-time. Judén invites the listener down a luminous, harmonically adventurous path, where sound takes creaturely dimensions. The songs blossom and wilt, at times floating in states of ambivalence, at others washing over the listener like waves, bathing them in heavy light.

'Lifecodes' was created in the small village of Pynnölä, Joutsa in central Finland, where Celestial Trax has been living and working since 2020.

Through research and practice he has evolved into a prolific producer with 10 full length albums under his belt and dozens of singles and remixes. He has performed live and DJ'ed at Fabric, Berghain and Cielo and then some. His love of a hybrid of hardware and digital resources for production shines through. His music has been championed by the likes of Francois K, Speedy J, Danny Howells, amongst others. An eclectic sensibility stemming from a love of many genres of music is always evident in Brendon's work.

Influenced by sources as diverse as dub, detroit techno, 90's IDM, and abstracted sound art, Valentino's music mines the deep emotional resonance and meditative quality of the endlessly repeating ostinato melody, like Wolfgang Voight's Gas project, Stars Of The Lid, and William Basinski.

Hey people, here's a new episode in the journey. Today, let's welcome the talented Atis, from Belgium.

Still early in the journey of being a musician, Atis found a home with the Belgian Form And Function label. More pulled towards the deeper spectrum of electronic music, influence comes from nature, mysticism and science resulting in experimental electronic music in the likes of techno, dub, ambient and breaks.

This mix was made with the intention of being soft, warm and dark, this podcast is meant to be a guide into the exploration of the dreamy areas of electronics, aimed at the uncharted zones and the stretched landscapes of winter coldness. This superb selection is the first collaboration between Atis and Stellar Transitions, so stay tuned for the following step. ;-)

About the picture, it's a still frame from a clip made by Akatak, a Dutch visual studio for which Atis did the sound design. The animation itself was done by Mats Logen.
