Having had his music on Sudbeat, Hope, and Renaissance, plus touring the globe as a DJ, as well as his monthly radio show and reviews for Tilllate Magazine, Darin really is on the top of his game and at the forefront of his musical sound. Valencia is a deep warm winner, and from the start, you can feel the quality oozing as the journey begins. The melodies are subtle but draw you in, as this track effortlessly meanders through peaks and troughs of sounds that tinkle and float. The main break encapsulates you before releasing the final smile-inducing drop. Remix duties start with the ever talented Jamie Stevens. The likeable Australian, best known from his Infusion days, has been producing for microCastle, Sudbeat, and Bedrock, as well as running his own label Chameleon Recordings. He retains the housey feel of the original, but with an injected funk and swagger that drives along beautifully. The remix swerves in a wonkier, yet still melodic direction. Its bleeps and arps work a treat, guiding the dancefloor to a frenzy right up until the breakdown, before the final uplifting moment when the bass kicks back in. Greek producer Ioannis Ntouskos aka Dousk completes the package. His enormous discography covers a wide range of musical styles and includes labels such as Bedrock, Global Underground, Vapour, plus dozens more. His love and appreciation for all genres shows here, as he's one of the few producers that can effortlessly meld together house, techno, and progressive influences into something completely new. Win or lose he'd find himself back in the house by 5PM on a couch, feet propped up, with a cigar, facing an old stereo listening to jazz, and lounge-y tunes. This track instantly brought back that image, so vivid that I can smell the smoke. I appreciate how CRWN (aka King Puentespina) strung bits together to form a cohesive whole in 'New Yorker', and I appreciate the mood he created from this. Für die Ewigwachgebliebenen zum Feierabendbier, für die Frühaufsteher als Seelenfutter zum Wochenbeginn: Montagssorbet mit Laut & Luise. Alles erlaubt, was gut tut und Gedanken kreisen lässt, nur der Name ist Programm: cremig, fluffig und ganz schön weich.

Pünktlich zum zweiten Advent Advent luden »Uns« zur gemütlichen Küchensession bei Kaffee, Keks und Kippe. Mit Cornelius an der Klampfe und David et Paul an den Stimmbändern, gab es das erste live Montagssorbet am Sonntag, ein Sontagsmorbet eben. Für alle Nachzügler und Wiederholungshörer ein leicht gekürzter Mitschnitt. Weniger Gesabbel und mehr Musik für das zwanzigste Sorbet Sorbet. Hurra!

Bio:

Der Klient is from a small town called Neubukow, which is near Rostock (North Germany). As a big fan of electronic music he started DJing in 2008. He loves nature and particularly comfortableness. Because of that he fell quickly in love with the deep tones of house and techno music. In former times he was inspired by the pulsating sound of "Magda", but today it is rather the sound of "Sven Weisemann" with his relaxed and groovy sets. Der Klient is repeatedly fascinated by him. 
The following sentence is one that der Klient often says and supports: "You do not have to dance only pounding on the floor, but you have to feel the beat." It is no problem for him to stand many hours behind the mixer. Six hours is no rarity. "The longer a set, the more expressive you can shape it", he said.

PROGRAMMING BEATS AND SOUND STRUCTURES, EDITING SEQUENCES AND RECORDING SAMPLES ARE THE FUNDAMENTALS OF MY AMBIENT, ELECTRONICA, DEEP AND DUB TECHNO TRACKS.
I was born in the Netherlands 1976 and moved to Germany close to Cologne at the age of 12. After a couple of years just listening to electronic music and playing my first keyboard, I got really addicted to my first synthesizer at the age of 18. Changing and manipulating sounds brought me to a point of no return.
Always influenced by my environment, musicians and friends, and a great sense of curiosity my tastes naturally spiralled in on the limitless space of ambient, electronica and different styles of techno music.
I focused my work on live performances for quite a long time and used a lot of toys like hardware synths, drum computers, mixers and effect units, playing the dance and chill out floors while keeping my neighbours in mind. In 2009, I decided to dedicate myself more to studio work after years of performing and producing tracks for myself and friends.
My music has since received international support form different imprints such as Silent Season, Dewtone, Sub.spiele, Biorecordings and others.

E2 is the second part of a quarterly EP series from German duo Klartraum, with the following two instalments due to follow later this year. The E stands for Enneagram, a model of human personalitythat allows you to describe or to find out through which lens you see your reality. Author Dr. Stephen Wolinsky has written a book on the subject and it is something that permeates the work of Klartraum. 
Helmut Ebritsch and Nadja Lind are Klartraum, the duo that has defined many different shades of house & techno music on a number of labels but mainly their own Lucidflow, which has been active since 2009. Here they offer up four more conceptual tracks that follow on perfectly from the first chapter. 

The opening track here, ‘Sky Fall’ was created from scratch when Felix Baumgartner jumped from the stratosphere in his famed stunt last year. The club mix version of it is a liquid and funky bit of house that is all off balance and wavy. Warm synths, spacious atmospheric pads and great panning effects all make for a bit of pensive tech that also manages to make you dance. 
Next up is ‘Celebration’, the free flowing and beautifully synthetic tech track with loopy percussive sounds, rattling hooks and a slinky sense of groove that makes you want to shake your limbs. 
‘Tree of Life’ steps away from the dancefloor to explore slowly unfolding rhythms, lumpy drums and atmospheric pads that all sound like alien life forms floating in deep space. There’s a sense of tension as things unfold which keeps you locked throughout, revelling in the fantastic sound design and sonic invention. 
The cinematic mix of ‘Sky Fall’ is a little more tripped out, with its lazy piano notes, buried deep riffs and intricate details all placing you at the centre of the beguiling track. 

This fascinating conceptual series continues in fine form, then, and proves Klartraum can do both.

Sensors in the feet of Rosetta’s lander Philae have recorded the sound of touchdown as it first came into contact with Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. The instrument, SESAME-CASSE, was turned on during the descent and clearly registered the first touchdown as Philae came into contact with the comet, in the form of vibrations detected in the soles of the lander’s feet.
