The title was inspired by an aphorism by Ralph Waldo Emerson, the American transcendentalist philosopher who so influenced Henry David Thoreau:
« Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. »

Philippe leaves a trace for Silvia with a baroque-inspired harmony. Silvia follows this trace with her native American flute and passes in front of Philippe again. The field of possibilities opens up in front of her, and she can give free rein to her melodious, pentatonic inspiration. We hope you'll feel at home in this music, that you'll feel at ease and be able to leave your own mark.
