On “Illusion of Grandeur” Soul Clap’s Charles Levine brings us a cinematic production, evoking the score of a French new wave film from the 1970s with added modern house flair. This piece of music was originally recorded in Ibiza with a spoken word vocal contribution from French “renaissance woman” Carlie C. Carlie is many things, a fashionista, a former lead dancer at some of the biggest events on the island of Ibiza and now an emerging DJ and producer with recent releases within the SCR exclusive music series on Bandcamp. On this new record Carlie’s big personality and unmistakable voice sets a mood guaranteed to entrance and hypnotize!

"I haven't recorded a mix in the studio for ages, so it was nice to spend a bit of time putting together some tracks and getting involved with the blends. I've been doing a lot of deep house digging recently, so there's a fair bit of old stuff on here, as well as some newer bits and the two tracks from my new LNOE release.
