Avenue Red is proud to present a multi-genre underground DJ/selector who we have known about and admired since around the time Avenue Red launched in 2013. Enter Ayumi from Brooklyn, New York - a very busy and productive mixmaster who can string together a perfect set of seemingly any style of electronic music with equal aplomb. With perfect mixing and interesting tunes that keep you curious, guessing what's next, grooving, dreaming, stepping... he has done over 100 such high quality mixes, which are all available on his Soundcloud page.

The majority of his mixes are of a style that overlaps in large amounts with the stylistic output of Avenue Red, so we figured it was high time to send an invitation his way. In response, Ayumi has dropped us 73 minutes of deep, dubbed-out house and techno tracks, mixed to the maximum standard and intelligently arranged into something wholesome and beautiful that is greater than the sum of its parts.

"Here's a mix of Dub Techno / House that represents my journey living in my neighborhood of Bushwick, Brooklyn, NYC. I wanted to capture how it is raw, groovy with so much soul. Dub Techno / House can often sound similar and sometimes even monotonous, which can be great for smooth listening. Con base en Copenhague y con fuertes asociaciones a sellos tales como Thule Records, Force Inc, Rawax, Luck of access, Taped artifact, Nilla y Kontakt se transformó en una de las principales figuras de la escena techno contemporánea de Islandia.

En 1999, debuta con una colaboración con la leyenda del techno islandés Exos, que fue editada en Force Inc. Desde entonces, ha editado sus trabajos en Thule Records, Rawax, Taped artifact, AE records, X / OZ, Solid Groove y Kontakt Records, y trabajando con artistas como Octal Industries, Exos, y ahora recientemente con Kvadrant, jefe de sello de Kontakt Records y presentador de los legendarios programas Tweak fm.

Welcome to the 231th Chapter of the Deep Electronics Podcast. A weekly released podcast that brings you a diversity into the abyss of deep electronic music. This weeks set, called Reality is an Illussion, is created by The Unknown Psychologist.

Bio:
Fan of electronic music since the 90s (even a little before ... from the end 80, I already listened to bands like "Cabaret Voltaire", "Front 242", "Front line assembly"), I started with the creation towards the 95's (first on AMIGA with Soundtracker, then on PC with Reason). Then I went to mix, first on Vinyl and then for over 10 years in digital.
Originally oriented HardTechno, I went through just about every style. Now, I navigate between a techno rather deep, hypnotic, sometimes Detroit techno, sometimes a little dubby and a little dark ...
I give a lot of importance to the technical dimension of the mix (I mix very often on 3 or 4 decks) and the harmony between the different tracks.
For the rest, I'm 45 ..... I live in Lyon and i'm really psychologist! (social psychologist to be precise)

Avenue Red has brought forth with a Christmas-day release. This is the hidden gift behind the tree that has cometh at the 8th hour past noon. We welcome Lille-based Columbian-French selector extraordinaire Victor Mottez, who musically masquerades under the guise of Bogota Soundsystem. Here Victor takes us on a nostalgic trip through the Hacienda-era influences that are rife in his record box full of edgy new beat, acid house, new wave and more.

"I am Colombian-born, north of France raised, currently based in Lille, French Flanders capital. I play pretty much every style from ambient music to new beat via Italo/dub disco. I've got affection for a wide range of music. One adjective: esoteric selection.

Thanks again to Alec for giving me this opportunity to express myself on his channel. I wanted to build a multi-genre mix but with a real guideline, playing only 80's & 90's sounds. The result is a mix of breaks, slow trance, dub techno with a little touch of Balearic & house music.
