Semilocybe is the music project of 26 year old DJ, Audio Engineer and Producer Tim Heil. Semilocybes sound ranges from groovy Psytech all the way to interesting, zenonesque rhythms combined with rolling basslines.

The project was born in the bushes of Australia back in 2018, which you can de nitely hear in his sound to this day. Another reason for the strong Australian in uence on Semilocybes sound is the label “Universal Tribe Records”, where he is signed as a representative DJ since 2021.

Born into a family where both his mother and brother are skilled musicians. David Hellquist from Gothenburg, Sweden has always found that music/sound was his main focus in life. Starting in the year of 2008 with electronic music, he felt an eager to create twisting sounds and noises that had been bugging his head and only when he felt he accomplished it he could find peace of mind. The tunes may vary from Dark Progressive/Psygressive with a “twisted-tech-glitch”-touch to different E.D.M genres such as Techno, Minimal, Deep/Tech and House. Hellquist is sure to continue serving us psy-heads with his “digital-acid-deep-in-the-Swedish-forest”-kind of mind altering musical creations.

This festival welcomed me with its arms wide open and its music deep, dark and brutal. Exactly what I needed! Set in a beautiful location, nestled amongst the trees in the forests of Slovenia, with a solid production, amazing people and tunes that just go on for dayz! It was my pleasure to meet so many new faces, but also be reacquainted with so many old. Truly a magical time was had.

A huge thank you to Rodrigo for constructing such a wicked event and permitting me to bring the power down. I can't wait to return again on future tours. Be sure to lock this tasty festival into your festival schedule. xo
