XXI." The tenor soloist is Bogdan Secula singing with the opera chorus and orchestra. The composer is Helmut Christoferus Calabrese and the lyricist is Paul Lutz Calabrese. The song was written in 1985 and dedicated to the Statue of Liberty on October 28, 1986 at the 100th Centennial Celebration of the Statue of Liberty. A bill, H.R. 2776, was introduced July 28, 1993, calling on the 103rd Congress "To designate 'The Most Beautiful Lady in the World,' by Helmut Christopher Calabrese and Paul L. Calabrese, as the official anthem of the Statue of Liberty."
