Adam Beyer and Ida Engberg deliver something a little different with their next collaboration; ‘You Know’.  Unlike their recent Drumcode release 'Unanswered Question', ‘You Know’ is a deep house killer that will appeal to new and old fans alike. Using a number of melodies within both the bass line and melodic synth that sits at the back of the mix, these two elements harmonise together smoothly and create an ear catching juxtaposition that will get the dance floor rocking before the vocal roars over the track.

The Virtues Of Loss is the result of profound revelations, which came along a self-healing journey into the dark.  Bringing this down unders mix to life became a creative guide that helped us find a spark of light to navigate the path in trust once again. And so, we felt inspired to translate all the wisdom we learned into 5 hours of musical landscapes to spread that brightness to all those wounded hearts ready to embrace healing.   

We are ALL letting go of someone, something, or somewhere … most of the time, even letting go of an identity within ourselves. 

Let’s inspire each other by sharing our gifts as we navigate high tides. Raising the sail is not a one man’s job; we are in this together.

This long-awaited project from A Tribe Called Kotori marks the collective's first full-length venture, featuring the immensely talented Rampue. Known for his phantasmagorical soundscapes, Rampue navigates the realms of electronica, abstract music, and balearic-infused progressive house with exceptional mastery. Based in Berlin, this virtuoso manages to mesmerize and elevate listeners through twelve extraordinary tracks, forming the foundation of this resplendently textured sonic journey. His compositions oscillate between understated euphoria and riveting exoticism, reflecting his prowess in evoking contrasting emotions through his music.

The creative journey leading to the birth of 'Bubblebath Trance' is a tale of irony and serenity intertwined. As Rampue recalls, "It all started and ended in the same moment: my cherished feline companion, my laptop awash with an unintended bath, and alas, a dearth of backups." This unfortunate series of events led to an outcome echoing a kind of chaotic tranquility. This serenity, born from stepping into a bubbling primitive chaos, permeates throughout the album, enriching the overall listening experience.

Rampue's debut album subtly imitates the "euphonious strains" of iconic PlayStation 1 video game soundtracks from his youth. The music sweeps listeners into a paradoxical emotional experience—imbued with nostalgia, yet vibrant and dynamic. It’s as though listeners are offered a bird's eye view of the world below, allowing them to rise slowly through the atmosphere's layers towards uncharted territories.

Rampue’s artistic mastery shines in ‘Harmonie,’ a true paragon of his unique take on classic electronica. The track radiates a poetic flame, consuming and transforming all within its reach. Picture yourself riding a chocobo across the sandy expanses of North Corel while this composition echoes in the distance. It paints a vivid scene for Final Fantasy VII aficionados.

The album embraces a rich variety of musical hues and subtleties. From the brass-heavy coastal jazz influences in 'Schattenschranz', to the chopped-up, trip-hop-adjacent electronics in 'Inside', Rampue demonstrates his ability to shape-shift across genres. Other tracks like the joyously chaotic 'Tripomatic', and 'Ich hasse Sonne', with its cinematic flair, contribute to the diverse soundscape.

The album’s eponymous track, 'Bubblebath Trance', is a piece both exuberant and deeply moving. It could well serve as the album’s centerpiece—a lucid dream of dancing shapes, colors, and sentiments to envelop your consciousness. It elegantly drifts from a liminal state of awareness into the rapids of one's inner turmoil, offering a mirror into the artist's inner world.

To round off this musical odyssey, the tranquil ambient tones of 'Die Leiden des hungrigen Fruehstuecks' seal the album with a stamp of affirmation. 'Bubblebath Trance' emerges as a rare class of albums—one that creates its own lexicon apart from the usual norms and expectations. It educates the listener with its new language, weaving through their ears, challenging the boundaries between the real and unreal.

This album exists as an ethereal object, withholding its secrets even after countless listens and awe-inspiring moments. It's an ever-evolving musical enigma, with its meaning and interpretation left to the listener's perception. It resists being confined to any singular definition, instead unfolding in real-time to the rhythm of the listener's heart and mind. The release date is set for August 25, 2023, and is sure to be a milestone in Rampue's career and for A Tribe Called Kotori.

When Henrik Schwarz heard the music from Johannes Brecht he knew the time was come to reactivate his label SUNDAY-MUSIC again. Johannes is a wonderful musician that also writes music for orchestra. When a classically trained musician looks into electronic music and manages to bring together the best of both worlds the result can be very exciting. On this EP are 3 tracks that show his versatility and musicality. The tracks vary from synth lines, to jacking house over to minimal.

NICOLE MOUDABER LAUNCHES HER MOOD LABEL IN STYLE THIS FEBRUARY WITH A STRIKING UNDERGROUND THREE TRACK EP

MOOD Records, the brand new label founded by The Queen of Techno Nicole Moudaber, launches in February 2013 with a killer three-track EP with a Nathan Barato remix and a re-work from Nicole herself. MOOD’s inaugural release will set the tone for showcasing the finest underground sounds which are both produced and supported by the DJ/Producer.

The imprints debut track ‘In The Mood’ features the considerable vocal talents of Hosie. Centred on a tightly programmed funky groove and shimmering chords, the unmistakeable and infectious Hip-Hop influenced vocal complements Nicole’s expertly honed studio-skills. Aimed firmly at the dance-floor this percussive house outing demonstrates Nicole’s versatility, and will be a welcome addition to the record bags of a plethora of DJs.

On the flip side, Nicole Moudaber again steps up to provide a much deeper rework of her original production. Here Nicole strips back the beat to its thumping bare bones and removes much of Hosie’s original vocal leaving only echoing snippets, thus expertly creating a fresh atmosphere and tension.

As the ethos of MOOD is to provide an outlet for works from both established names and newcomers alike, it is fitting that the inaugural release is rounded off with a fine remix by up-and-coming Canadian producer Nathan Barato. Nathan transforms the original by removing many of the groovy elements, instead adding driving hi-hats and a rolling bass which feature heavily throughout the track’s series of exciting peaks and troughs. 

Due for release in late February, ‘In The Mood’ is a deadly debut EP for MOOD which is firmly steeped in the underground, and leaves listeners eagerly anticipating the labels next output.

Internationally renowned music producer and composer Henrik Schwarz is known for his eclectic musical approach to composition and sound design. As a producer and performer, he has successfully maintained a balance between electronic music, classical and jazz, and between energetic, highly charged dance sets at huge Techno events and concert performances in seated auditoriums.

To make a long story short...  

Here are some facts about me.

I'm a producer, soundmaker, parttime dj and mostly, a musical enthusiast.  

My musical taste ranges from old tracks of James Brown, Zapp and Funkadelic, through to Beastie Boys, Redman and 90's hiphop ... and all the way to Adam F, Filla Brazillia and Roni Size... to name a few.   

I believe If a track is really good, it will move your feet and make your head bob to the beat --> even if its 100 years old.   YES    :))

Artists like Kraftwerk, Huan Atkins, Ken Ishi, Moodyman... They weren't bothered by the financial outcome when they started doing "their thing".
