I am a frozen statue, watching seasons come and go, feeling changes, doing nothing, forever...
Last movement of the rock symphony, where I pay tribute to, and play, my mom's spanish guitar.
Main theme (bass E1-A1...E1-A1-E2...), appears all along the album, and also main themes of other 3 movements sound here as refrains (Vienen y van / Hora tras hora) which are thus sung over 4 different musics ;) E-Ruizzo project is finished, what's to come?... below translated lyrics.

after 8 years of E-Ruizzo project, which I'm about to finish. I plan to stay here, commenting as

So... I've been trying out the B-Standard tuning on the JSM-10 and I've really been enjoying it. Together with the Bluguitar AMP1 settings I've been using the lower string tension really allows for a very organic phrasing. Definitely using this sound on the record. 

I've also used the Vigier Excalibur (Shawn Lane Master) with the same amp settings to counter the boominess and woody-ness of the JSM-10.

The harmonic basis for the whole thing is a chordal idea I had while reading about in the book "A Theory of Harmony" by ERnst Levy. Some of the melody lines are based on a short fragment/theme I want to use with the chords

Road To Umbra #3.1: Trying out B-Standard on the semi-hollow

The basic tracks for some of these songs were scattered through other music I had recorded over the last ten years.  Quarantine has given me the time to hear some of this music with fresh ears. In most instances dozens of instrument tracks were stripped away to find some forgotten core that made me nod or smile.  Then I started again.  All new recording has been done since the start of lock down and tries to put a sound on the subtle dislocation of a global disaster that is mostly (for me) expressed in my daily life as an absence, a taking away rather than a presence; a distantly felt thing.

I had been really wanting to make new music with Calebass. I have been making a lot of songs that lean more heavily toward hip hop the last couple years and felt like heading back toward the direction of my earlier years on SoundCloud. Luckily Calebass was willing and ready and the music flowed easily and steadily. Jon did an amazing job adding an element of jazz with his bass and Janine really awakened the psychedelic spirit and Age of Aquarius with her vocals. It was extra bonus to have both Sinfields participate in this song making this a real SC family affair. Lyrically, I was inspired by the children’s book, Ox-Cart Man, which I love, and all the felt mouse toys I recently made for my cat at my daughter’s request.

I still remember when I heard "Smells Like Teen Spirit" for the first time. I actually saw the music video on MTV in the middle of the night. "What a weird video!" is what I thought. (Sports/Club/College culture is very different in Germany lol). But the music blew my mind. 
At that time I was a singer in a Stoner Rock band, while recording Pop tunes for my solo project. This song was just a perfect fusion of my two worlds. 
Here is my take on it. It's song number 4 on my EP "My Own Crazy". 
The original is perfect, so I did not seek to copy it. My goal was to reimagine it within my own style. My wonderful friend Bettina plays the saxophone on the song, which gives it just what it needs, I think.
