Next up this August on Nothing Else Matters we bring you a release we've been super excited to share from an artist we've been a fan of for a while now, please welcome Brighton based DJ, producer and vocalist, Bklava, with her NEM debut release, the 'Anywhere With You' EP. Despite only making her emergence onto the scene at the tail-end of 2019, Bklava has already announced herself as one of the hottest prospects in Dance music. With regular support from BBC Radio 1's Jaguar, Sarah Story, Pete Tong and label boss, Danny Howard, her music exhibits her expansive vocals paired with irresistibly smooth beats, and it's this formula that dictates her unique live performances, where she can be found singing and seamlessly mixing at the same time – quite the impressive feat! Part of an exciting new wave of artists, Bklava has already performed alongside some of the scene's most up-and-coming artists and with a monthly Rinse FM show and heading up a female and non-binary DJ platform called Spin Suga, Bklava shows no signs of slowing down just yet! The 'Anywhere With You' EP showcases Bklava's signature sound, intricate percussion layered with Bklava's captivating vocals, punchy drums, gritty basslines and euphoric synth and chord work throughout, resulting in two fast-paced weapons, soon to be tearing up dancefloors the world over!

Thirteen years after its release, Duck Sauce’s first single “aNYway” still feels as fresh as ever. The feeling is undeniable, one that reaches deep into your soul and uplifts you. It’s the song that launched A-Trak and Armand Van Helden’s celebrated collaborative project, one that is still kicking strong in 2022 with the Ducks performing to massive crowds at Coachella and Tomorrowland. Rounding off September, buzzing Swindon based artist CHANEY returns to Toolroom, following up his earlier hit on the label ‘Love Again’ with a Disco Tech banger ‘Bet You I Do’. Having kicked off 2022 with his standout single on Toolroom – ‘Love Again’, an emotional cut of Piano House which swept through the scene racking up 4 million streams alone on Spotify along with national radio support. CHANEY switches it up a gear with his latest Toolroom outing, bringing a sun-soaked, energetic vibe on ‘Bet You I Do’.

From cutting banging Disco edits on his Southwest Soul Club EP on Canadian label KooKoo Records, to his collaboration with BBC Radio 1 Dance Anthem host Danny Howard on their ‘This Beat’ EP on the selectors own Nothing Else Matters imprint, CHANEY is a name that will be on the tip of everyone’s tongues by the end of 2022. Cutting back to ‘Bet You I Do’ is a record that’ll make you wish you were back on those open-air terraces, good music playing with a drink in hand until the early hours. Whatever genre and sound CHANEY turns his hand to, it always comes out as a total dance floor hit! Landing back on the firm next is Liverpudlian selector Friend Within, who returns with his second Toolroom release of the year, ‘Bring It Down’. 

Riding the on the hype from ‘Monkey Bars’, the old school, Dutch House styled monster that garnered vast support from Paul Woolford, Meg Ward, LF System, John Summit, Dom Dolla, MK, Malaa and many more. A certified secret weapon of the summer, ‘Monkey Bars’ received heavy rotation on both national and international radio stations, especially from BBC Radio 1 heads Pete Tong, Sarah Story, Arielle Free and Danny Howard becoming a staple sound of 2022.

So, what comes next? Friend Within has the answer of course, with another killer slice of Hard House meets UK G that is ‘Bring It Down’. Liverpool born producer and DJ Melé recently received the coveted title of Hottest Record In The World from Radio 1 tastemaker Annie Mac for his edit The Beyonce Track.

Melé effortlessly lays down a thudding drumbeat laced with intricate tribal percussion, and a breakdown that borrows the trumpet section from Queen Beyoncé's 2003 hit Crazy In Love. 

It's a full power production that has been creating serious heat in his DJ sets and across festivals all summer long.

Melé has built a solid reputation for his skills in the booth whilst running his event series Club Bad and headlining festivals this summer like Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide.
