This is a hybrid bassdrum I made from two 808 and 909 samples 

My goal was to create a kick that combines the best of both worlds – the rich sub bass ooomph of the 808, and the powerful transient of the 909, which cuts through the mix much better than a soft 808.

I first used this kick on my 2020 Bedrock release "Burn Your Love" – check it out!

History of Textile Factory
The ex-Imbabura Factory was born on May 6, 1924, and until late 1997, it was the most important textile development center in the North of Ecuador. During all of its activity, this factory became the livelihood of hundreds of families in the canton of Antonio Ante.
Conceived as the project of Catalan entrepreneurs Francisco and Antonio Dalmau, who, with strategic vision anticipated a variety of opportunities that would facilitate the transportation, catering, processing, and distribution of the products. The arrival of the train in 1929 was the opportunity that made the supply flow of the cotton from Chota Valley, Salinas, and San Carlos easy. Also, the close proximity of the hydroelectric plant in the Ambi river provided the energy to the factory to boost its machinery.
 The golden era of the factory happened between the 30s, 40s, and 50s. The quality of the products and a good system of commercialization allowed the factory and its workers to enjoy a stable and enviable economy. It was internationally recognized for its export process of the naval and super naval fabrics, which were used in the manufacture of military clothing and overalls.
 Starting in 1959, the first economic problems happened. The factory suffered the consequences of bad administration that did not know how to anticipate the modernization of its machinery, causing negative effects such as the increase in production costs which resulted in slow and low-quality production.
 By the beginning of 1965, the economic situation of the factory was unsustainable; the liquidation of the Imbabura Textile Factory was announced. This announcement causes discomfort in the workers, generating one of the biggest strikes and the temporary closure of the Imbabura Textile Factory. The factory is seized by social security (IESS) in 1969 for the employer’s debts, as a result, the production of the factory is sporadic and insignificant. Finally, its definitive closure was declared in 1997 with just 30 workers.

THE REBIRTH
The Rebirth, a sculpture built with remains of machinery from the former textile factory, represents the resurgence of the working class and the old town despite the difficulties presented throughout its exciting and sometimes convulsed history.

Here we have another robot. His name is Jatun, which means big and leader in Quichua. He was made with parts of a cotton gin machine. He will explain to you all about the first residents of this place in the 13th century. Most of the people in this place were native and worked as organic farmers. After an important manifestation in 1777 led by native women, the name of this town changed to Atuntaqui, which means war drum or big drum in Quichua.

Look at the sample of the machine which was brought in 1924 from England. This machine arrived at the port in Guayaquil in ships and after that, the parts were transported in donkeys or horses. The machines were later armed manually by workers and technicians of this factory.

OPENING,CLEANING ROOM AND PROCESS OF COTTON
Here we have three important machines for the cleaning process of cotton:
The Cotton Gin Machine (Desmotadora)
The Fulling Mills (Batanes) 
The Bale Pluckers (Abridora)
All of these machines were used to clean the cotton fiber. They worked with pulleys and steam from the hydroelectric plant. PROCESS OF COTTON Here we can observe how cotton is carefully cleaned by all the machines around this room. After this process, the fiber goes to the spinning room and later to the loom room.
