I'm AstralJashn, a producer from Ølen, now based in Bergen, Norway. I make minimal, minimal ambient techno, and melodic techno—music that lives somewhere between movement and stillness.

My process usually starts in silence. I sit in the dark for a while before producing, letting the noise settle. That quiet moment shapes everything I create, whether it’s a deep, driving groove or something slower and more atmospheric.

I focus on subtle textures, repetition, and emotion—building tracks that feel intentional and honest. Some are meant for late-night dance floors, others for solitary listening. Either way, they aim to connect—with the body, the breath, or whatever else is present.

I have loved music since I was a child. I bought my first record from my neighbor in 1989 because of the cover (Helloween-Judas, unfortunately I had to swap it for a bmx bike.). In my teenage years I got my fill of heavy metal, rap, punk and drum n bass, but also all the others.

I love the structure and the simple, complex nature of electronic music. It grounds me.

Massive lover of techno music, Dave Clarke, Ben Sims, Mark Broom, Ken Ishii, Slam, Blackstrobe, Surgeon, Kevin Sounderson, Juan Atkins, Derrick May, Octave One…and so many many more…however, despite the genre, love music that makes you dance and gives you any kind of feeling….playing music as a hobby, still a lot of practice and improvement needed…work in progress x
