Welcome back to a long awaited  Live from SPEED instalment of our mix series. For this next edition, we take you back to 24th February 2023, where SPEED teamed up with local promoter crew to Present Julia Govor. Here is Julia's recording from that special event.

A superstar techno producer with her own innovative and unique sounds, Julia Govor is the founder and curator of record label JUJUKA, as well as the co-founder of Radial. Currently based in New York, Julia has recently been featured on Bandcamp Daily as a best new Music producer. 

With original productions that the media has described as Rare, Beguiling and Mind filling, teamed with her dense, vivid DJ sets, Julia is enthusiastic and energetic with a charismatic fatal charm. Govor knows how to move and make others feel and engage.

Canadian DJ, artist, and event curator Critter is known for her eclectic, genre-fluid selections and high-energy sets. Boyzu Rabu is a professional illustrator by day and an otaku DJ by night. Their iconic selects include J-core, denpa music originating from the Otaku capital Akihabara and extremely deep cut hardcore remixes of their favorite anime & game OSTs. 

Japanese Moe & nerd culture is a huge inspiration in their body of visual and musical work. Doing cosplay as a hobby helped Boyzu Rabu finally achieve their dream of being a Real Anime Magical Warrior. Their sets have spanned New York, Tokyo, Bali and various venues and parties in Jakarta. Under the alias of Jesus Slayer, Aaliyah Salem has made significant headway in Naarm’s electronic scene in just over a year. Drawing on her roots as a member of the Lebanese-Fijian diaspora, her sound varies not unsimilar to the vastly differing music of her youth. 

She has a strong innate ability to understand the notion of energy and transformation. With this, her ever evolving sets have found features on rising broadcasting publications Listen Radio and XTC. Riding on this momentum, she became a regular at Little Mischief at Miscellania, garnering a sense of ease behind the decks. 

Aaliyah Salem can also be found playing alongside WHERESCART3R? as part of their B2B Lorem Ipsum. Inspired by the default text that loads with new fonts in design software, they aspire to always present a new template. The birth of Lorem Ipsum coincided with a placement on the lineup for the PIGSTY Launch Party at Dove Club.
