Welcome back to another Transmission broadcasting from the HER 他 Transmission Mix Series, our mix series showcasing amazing artists from around the world. For the edition, we bring you a mix from Pinae.

Pinae started her music career as a resident DJ at a lounge bar above D Museum art gallery in Seoul. In collaboration with artists and brands through exhibitions and pop-ups, Pinae found her distinct style of mixing multiple genres to tell a story. Through these influences, Pinae has been exploring live performance with MPC, vinyl sampling with SP404 and media art for music performance. 

In 2022, Pinae debuted as a street artist with a solo exhibition, ‘2/100’, inspired by her roots in Melbourne and her music journey as a DJ. She now continues her journey in Naarm, searching for music in everyday sounds.
*This set for HER transmission is my interpretation of evolution and the endless back and forth between advancement & regression. It’s a curation of tracks that samples ‘human sounds’ and ‘human-made’ ones.
