The glory of the offspring of god. 

I am the thought that dwells in the light. I am the movement that dwells in the all. She in who the all takes its stand. The first one among those who came to be. 
She who exists before the all. 
Who exists before the all.

Reflecting on the Sofacast journey reminds me of just how magical this project has been. So many DJs have led us through the depths of electronic music, uncovering hidden gems from a vast sea of talented producers, each with their own unique voice. It’s a celebration of music, creativity, and the passion that connects us all.

As we reach the 100th episode, instead of a big spectacle, I opted for something more intimate. My dear friend and seasoned DJ, Backhaus, brings his signature touch to this special mix—proof that sometimes less truly is more.

Thank you for being part of this musical voyage. Here’s to many more adventures together.

many people don't know my love for underground psytrance, which are my roots for alternative music since i was very young. it was a great pleasure to play this set for an event by techno na quebrada - a collective organizing awesome raves in brazil.
understood once again my deep connection to this music and how much i love playing it. hope you enjoy listening to this, even though it has a few minor transition fuck ups :)

And that it usually has to do with a feeling deep inside of us, the feeling of LOVE - to sail the 7 oceans, for the crew around you, to the old gods like Odin or Poseidon and also the love & the anticipation of the adventures that lie ahead and behind you. 

Nevertheless it’s also about a feeling called »in the depth of the solitude«. the solitude of the vastness of the ocean - the solitude in the bunk and something more. it’s hard to describe which feelings rushes through everyone, music is our choice to try to make them audible. and our newest crew member www.soundcloud.com/tari-q would do it like this: »the ocean is in my brain. Desert Dwellers consists of Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe, who began their careers as independent music producers and DJs in the deserts of New Mexico and California. Coming together in the late '90s after connecting through the legendary Moontribe scene, today the duo enjoys a reputation as one of the most pioneering and prolific downtempo, psy-bass, and tribal trance acts in the United States. Desert Dwellers have toured extensively across six continents, spent a 7-week stretch on the road with renowned psychedelic artist Shpongle, and have performed at dozens of festivals, most notably Shambhala, Lightning in a Bottle, Envision, Coachella, Rainbow Serpent, and Boom. Taking a new approach to digital production, Amani and Treavor have combined the raw sounds of the natural world while skillfully blended deep bass, earthy percussion, etheric voices and cross-cultural instrumentation into sonic incense for the mind and body. Bringing the electronic music vibe to the yoga scene, and the sounds of yoga to the electronic dance scene, Desert Dwellers’ global sounds are the bridge between the worlds of dance and movement.
