Hidden behind a stack of broken records in a dusty basement in Kingston, a collector unearthed a forgotten tape, wrapped in yellowed tissue paper. No official label, just a faded handwritten note:
“Nessuno – Minnie / M. Small dub”.

Curious and skeptical, he sent me the tape to be restored. The result? An impossible track: the haunting voice of Minnie, an Italian diva long erased from official archives, singing Nessuno over a raw, upbeat blue beat ska groove.
A fusion never documented — and yet, undeniably real.

Who was Minnie, really?
How did she end up on a rhythm straight from the original mastertapes back in the Jamaican Ska Era?
No answers. Just riddim.

Frederick Michael Troina better known by his stage name HESH is a Producer/Engineer/Guitarist and all around musician based in Portland, Oregon. Starting his music career off playing guitar in a metal band left HESH with a very open mind and ear. When listening to his music you can hear influences being drawn from all types of music genres and sounds. After relocating from his homeland of Cleveland, Ohio to Portland and switching his focus to Hip Hop he had a brief stint making music with rapper Matthew Mytha. In December 2012 HESH released his first solo mixtape titled Used and Abused Vol. 1 and since has been releasing beats and mixes on rapid fire.
