HEVANCE is a Malaysian Independent Iban rock band from Bintulu, Sarawak. Formed in 2001, the band was known to the public with their first single Semampai Ngenang in the year 2008 but what really boosts their popularity was the second single Aku Nemu which was in their mini studio album or EP titled Sada Ati in the year 2010. The song topped the charts in most of the local radio station in Sarawak which later was nominated for 3 categories in Anugerah Carta Borneo ERA 2010/11 organized by ERA FM.

To be the only iban band nominated in the event, HEVANCE break the boundaries of local iban music to be accepted in a Malay Award. The following year the song was awarded for BEST SONG in an all Iban artist competition called Anugerah Juara Rentak Ruai (AJARR) 2011/12 organized by local radio station in Sarawak CATS FM.

Galvin Martin Patrick (born Febuary 2, 1986), known by his stage name Avin, is a Malaysian independent/underground music producer, singer/songwriter from Sri Aman, Sarawak. He played the keyboards and learned by ear since he was 3. He wrote his first song when he was 15 years of aged and began doing his own recordings with a radio cassette recorder. He then recorded his songs digitally by 'D.I.Y' in 2007. He began performing in the local music scene of Kuching in 2007 as he played the keyboards to some local bands like 'Lateral Faction' & 'Solemn'. He had also formed his own project band known as 'The 14th Project' in 2008 and released a demo with singles like ‘Goodbye to You’ and ‘Kesempurnaan Cinta’. Recorded in his bedroom, the band changed their genre from electronic rock into electronics and trance in 2010 until he decided to create his own solo project after the band broke up. He also produces music to the local indie bands and hip hop acts from around Malaysia as well to make some music collaborations with his friends from around the world. Avin’s musical style has been defined as pop, hip hop and electronic dance, and was inspired by Timbaland, RedOne, Afrojack, and etc. He was hoping that one day Malaysia will gain more genres in contributing the local music scene especially from Sarawak.

He was also nominated for 'Lagu Borneo Paling Popular', 'Artis Solo / Band Borneo Paling Popular' and 'Artis Harapan Borneo' in Anugerah Carta Borneo Era 2011 for the song Sang Mentari, and 'Best Electronica/Dance Song' in VIMA 2011 music awards.
