인피니트(INFINITE) - Back Piano Cover

Natural philosophy was the philosophical study of nature and the physical universe that was dominant before the development of modern science in the 19th century. 

It included the study of astronomy and cosmology, the study of nature the elements; the study of matter, and the philosophy of space and time. In this case I was thinking particularly of the study of air and the discoveries of the gasses that make up the atmosphere.

Perfect for focused contemplation, historical daydreams, or simply immersing yourself in a soundscape that bridges art and early scientific thought. 

Final mix mastered by Ray Staff at the legendary Air Studios, London.

He was still 'standing to attention' when he walked out of the bedroom. She watched, with one eye open, and laughed into the pillow with a coldness that betrayed just what she was really thinking. 
And he never even knew that she wasn't really sleeping.
She was possessed by a devil but her scent was heaven sent. He faltered in his footsteps when he considered what she meant when she told him that she loved him but she 'didn't really need him anymore'. 
And he thought, "If life is a lesson, if life is a lesson, what have I learned? if life is a lesson, what have I learned?".

She didn't know why she had told him but now the cat was out of the bag. And she wanted so to hold him but the bruises and the bleeding held her back. 
Her back was cold. 
She'd had her fill of beatings.

As he strode on down the corridor she saw it now for evermore - she'd never even known him and he really was a stranger. And there and then she knew her young life was endangered. And she thought, "If life is a lesson, if life is a lesson, what have I learned? if life is a lesson, what have I learned?".
Oh God! What could she do? She reached into his record bag, fumbled for a cigarette but "shit" he hadn't any left (they'd smoked them all the night before). 
Then, suddenly, her fingers found the handle of a gun...

... meanwhile he pondered the implications of her actions. How could he carry on with her blood on his hands? There and then he decided to forgive her 'indiscretions', many though they were.

When he re-entered the room he was surprised to find her standing but her back was turned against him and he caught her in reflection. Realising her intention much to late to be effective, he raised his hand one final time and she blew him into kingdom come.
And she thought, 
"If life is a lesson, if life is a lesson, what have I learned?
 if life is a lesson, what have I learned?".

This track was released in 2005 on Retro Bitch. There's alot wrong with this mix. Really had no idea what I was doing then. By the time I did know what I was doing, I couldn't fix it because I lost all the files in a computer meltdown (one of many)
Still it's just a fun track remembering my wanker boyfriend. 

If you're offended by the word 'fuck' don't listen to this track. I think I sing it twice. I may also use 'wanker' once. There may also be an overuse of the words 'in' 'on' and 'the' with too many oohs and ahs too.  ;)

This one started as an experiment in making some homemade percussion sounds. I lost control and it just went wherever it decided to go...which strangely was some sort of disco finish. I have to admit, most of the time, I have no idea what I'm doing with music.

If anyone is interested, the percussion was created by sampling keys, a chewing gum pot, hitting a glass and thumping my desk.

Forgetting fear you gauge the feelings of the past

Nostalgia is a comfort when you don't know where to go
It's broken, wasted and it's deafening, obscuring all that is true meaning

When you take another life to live your own
You can't believe that it is happening, although you know the feeling well

You'll find out that it's not anything that you thought it was

The samples are from the film 1978 The Medusa Touch starring the great Richard Burton. If you've not seen it, it's a great film.

To be honest, this track hasn't turned out as I had hoped. I like bits of it but I lost control and it's a bit of a mess. The parts are greater than the sum but I've had enough of fucking about with it, so here it is.
I've come to realise that this would be much easier if I recorded and produced on a computer rather than my digital 24-track. But I like it this way.
