We are delighted to welcome Chapter records curator Anika Kunst. Hailing from spain, Anika has started her career 15 years ago and has broadened her definition of Techno since then. The search of developing a distinctive style led her to what it seems to be a natural step in a dj career, the introduction in the production scene.

In early 2014 she launches her vinyl imprint, facing the techno in all its forms, and teaming up with great artists such as Architectural as a remixer.

Currently, she is a resident of The Pharm party in Pacha Ibiza, has her own party in Macarena club, called Technológica, and has just joined the team of one of the best techno parties in Spain, Insert.

Thanks to a finely sorted selection, Anika comes out with this amazing tension-generating and floor-oriented mix. Enjoy and don’t forget to share it if you like it!

Andres Campo Terrorsound Festival (Florida 135, Closing Set)26-09-2017

For a job that’s so dependent on aviation, a lot can go wrong for a DJ in the airport. Apart from losing a record bag in transit, one of the biggest fears you can have as a touring artist is finding out your flight’s been cancelled.

This is exactly what happened to Paula Temple on the night of her first appearance with us back in May. When her Saturday evening flight from Glasgow was called off at late notice, the odds of her making it down to London in time were stacked against her. 

The stars aligned when she found out Levon Vincent also needed to make the same journey, and the pair embarked on an ambitious 8-hour car journey to London. When she finally pulled up on Charterhouse Street 10 minutes before her scheduled set time, we were already impressed before she’d spun her first track.

As it turns out, she then delivered one of our favourite club debuts of the year. Taking rein of Room Two in the peak of the night, her selections were equal parts heady and destructive, delivered with a surgical approach that only comes with an absolute grasp of the craft. 

On New Year’s Eve we invite Paula Temple back to Farringdon, and as the year draws to a close we felt it as good a time as any to look back on her transcendental debut at the club. Speaking of the set, Temple told us: “The long journey to the club was rewarded a thousand times over by how well everyone received my set. It made me very happy to be at fabric!”

I’m talking about Joton, an artist from Spain who’s based on an elegant style and a well-founded artistic criterion, always in constant and restless progression. His sound is industrial, analog and mechanical, through Detroit, Berlin and Birmingham influences. His label ’Newrhytmic’ has been supporting high-octane Techno from many international artists for over 15 years now. Back in 2015, Joton released his first album ‘Casting Out Nine’, placing him in the focus of the global scene. Joton’s touring schedule is always busy, having visited some of the most renowned venues such as Under Club in Buenos Aires, Tresor in Berlin, Rex Club in Paris, Propaganda in Moscow, Domunne in Tokyo and Fabrik in Madrid.

Today, we welcome Dahlia. Coming from France, his sound can be described as sentimental and profound, with predominant post-apocalyptic moods that are starting to resonate strongly in the rave scene.

He’s one of the protagonists of the latest release and first various artists of HEX Recordings, called 'Deviant Misbehaviours vol1', a double vinyl among many other international artists such as Codex Empire, Joton, the NX1 duo, PØLI and myself. This release is now available for preorder on Bandcamp, if you want to support it.
