The solo output of Reykjavik producer Janus Rasmussen can be best understood as a distillation of his many diverse collaborations to date. Originally from the Faroe Islands, Janus has spent the better part of the last decade creating, performing, and innovating with other artists across myriad musical genres, amassing a wealth of experience and inspiration that he now condenses into his own brand of experimental electronic music. 

Janus’s debut solo album Vín, saw him hone his minimal techno chops into an hour-long exploration of acoustic textures and electronic sound design that peaks and lulls like a well-crafted DJ set. In his most recent work, he meshes Vín’s dancefloor rhythms and dark sonic palette with his own vocals to craft a unique, melodic sound that runs counter to the prevailing current of electronic dance music.

Aside from his own music, Janus performs alongside Ólafur Arnalds as one half of KIASMOS.

Davíð Þór jónsson (born 1978 in Seyðisfjörður, Iceland)
Pianist, composer, improviser,performing artist and a multitasking musician in life.
Currently living and working in Mosfellssveit, Iceland.
Davíð has been playing the piano and keyboards since age of 9 and ever since been making a career for himself as a musician.
He has collaborated with a whole spectrum of artist, from obscure troubadours in the countryside to stadium bands, covering all fields og music, both in Iceland and abroad.
Davíð has composed and arranged a great deal of music for Theater, Film,Art installations, performances and videos of all kinds.
His main goal in music is to never stop the childlike enthusiasm and constant creativity.
Released his first album Rask in 2002.
Davíð is currently composing and working on a series of records with solo piano music.
