We recorded The Pretenders song “2,000 Miles” first and it was definitely an influence on our original song "This Christmas (A Mohawk Place X-mas)'. Both songs are about longing for someone during the holidays and musically both songs have this really cool guitar part that seems to float from beginning to end.

It's a song about that feeling of breaking up and then getting over it but not really. It's saying good bye in the most honest and vulnerable way to someone you once loved. Mixed with "Realismo Mágico" aesthetics lyrics-wise. Lots of metaphors to get deeper into the message. Musically we wanted to combine organic instruments with synths and drum machine along with congas, shakers and acoustic & electric guitars, anyways, thank you so much for listening.

Sourdough is a song about being young and a bit lost. It was written I while ago when we were 18, and serves as a recount of a single day during the period when we first left home and moved to the city. It highlights the strange feeling of living in an unfamiliar environment and trying to get by while feeling homesick and lonely. 

The song is inspired by the straightforward lyricism of Courtney Barnett with hints of Paul Kelly for the sound of the track.
