@Crowhuntrecords, an electronic label founded by MontCosmik and Alda (@aldaprod) is releasing their first EP called “Pleasure Bass” by the co-founder Alda himself. The release starts with the eponym original track, a strobe dance killer track with deep dark bass, punchy kick, spatial snare, a looping vocoder, and stormy guitars riff. The remix duties are taken care of by Pardon Moi and Strapontin.

Pardon Moi takes care of the first remix. A retro affair from the famous Berliner duo, smelling old Italo disco with sublime disco basslines and crazy solo keyboard riffs. Best ingredients to propels you across the galaxy, full neon lights in your eyes.

Strapontin drives us into the depths of the wood with a second remix of Pleasure Bass. A mental looping bass that catches our heart, the drum patterns attacking our body until synthesizers elevate during the break to take us to that final rise. All overloaded with dark and lenient vocals as if you were the prey of a dark majestic bird.

The second original track ‘The last track on the moon’ comes to rest in a slow mood, less aggressive than other tracks and give us another view of Alda’s work presenting himself with more sexy melodies and 80’s snares.

After two fantastic releases already, the third offering is a various artists compilation that shows off the label’s broad array of sounds from producers all over the world.

Up first is a rising star and Milan based selector, Tagliabue. He takes stylistic cues from the natural environment around him and breaks down genre boundaries. His ‘Canto Nativo’ is a brilliantly tropical bit of chugging disco with breezy pads but twisted bass.

Gimel connects ambient, psychedelic sounds with deep, melodic moods, he plays at renowned clubs such as Opium and runs the ‘Samsara’ events in Vilnius. Here he offers ‘Dobilelis’ a superbly transcendental cut that is littered with vocal chanting and rugged bass riffs that really cast a spell.

Raised in the heart of the Middle East, Rabih delivers ‘Bowing Pill’, a track moulded by rolling synths, heavy drums and a hypnotic flow that stimulates your body and brain.

Mexican Braulio Renteria draws on dark disco and is inspired by futuristic, deep and unique rhythms. He offers the vital ‘Venus’, a moody and heavyweight cut with punky attitude and cosmic keys making for a real trip.

Play Pal Music founder Teniente Castillo who has a rich history of releases on labels such as Ombra Intl, Relish and Nein amongst others, delivers ‘Personality Goes a Long Way’ . This is sci-fi, low slung machine music with retro flavours which has a compelling starkness in the hits and synths.

Last of all, Andreja Salpe and Filip Polski aka BarumBarum follow up on the success of their ‘Ritual’ EP released on the same label by closing out the fantastic compilation with the desert chants and rugged drum work of ‘Sensation.’

This is a widely infused collection of disco tracks that take you around the world with a real sense of style.

The collaboration with Modular Project continues in 2019 with the release of 'Vivid Poison', their new single.
Alberto Iovine and Alessandro Fumagalli started to work together in 2015, joined by a strong love for music and vintage synths, and now they are running their own record label Nothing Is Real, spreading their music in Italy and around Europe.

Their electronic style is influenced by new wave and 80’s sound fusing powerful drums, pulsating synths for an emotional impact. ‘Vivid Poison' is the perfect example of this mixture.
Originally conceived after a jamming in the studio, after listening to a lot of Italo disco music, the song comes to life thanks to the collaboration with the artist Eleonora Zaripova.
The Russian-Tartarian artist now living in Berlin has a classical music education and jazz-experience. Her beautiful voice transmits fragility and strength, melancholy and soul, and fit perfectly with the music produced by Alberto and Alex, taking us back in time.

The release also includes two valuable remixes. After her debut on Rebirth in 2017 Perel is back on the label with two strong remixes combining the original vocals with her unique 90’s synth pop sound.
Tel Aviv artist Nadav Spiegel aka Autarkic, follows his productions on Disco Halal, Golf Channel and Turbo with a powerful remix, injecting his modern Israeli vibe, filthy, intensive yet emotional.

Modular Project strikes again after their last fantastic EP on Sisters & Brothers. ‘Bottom’ is a floating dreamy cosmic track that travels to the moon and back. It’s a funky techno track with a real bass line, emotional synths and a distorted vocoder that bring the listeners on a trippy 80’s journey. A true analog product from Italy.

‘Austrian Hairlines’ is by Sexy Lazer & Kaktus Einarsson. It comes with a thrilling intro that turns into broken beats, acid and quirky melodies. Born 33.000 feet up in the air and brought down to earth to be raised up. Grew and grew and became this sharp and tense but yet playful electric character. Robotic and sharp as the sharpest Austrian hairlines. 

Technobeton & Friedtower presents ‘Tal im Berg’. This greatly structured and disturbed track made in Stuttgart is in your face. ‘Tal im Berg’ is about not doing it right. “We had a lot of instruments, progressions and effects in the arrangement (which is the ‘Berg’ (mountain) - it sounded right. So then we killed two drum tracks, several melodies, we discovered the TAL bassline, and what then happened became Tal im Berg. When we play it loud, people maybe feel the presence of empty soundspaces and fill them automatically with ecstatic shouts and dance moves.”

Far up in the north the Icelandic techno duo Bypass wrote a composition named Blómavasi (flower vase) years back as teenagers. Not knowing what they had made the demo got lost. By request of a friend they revisited the demo and decided to bring it to life. Imagine what Bypass can do if this acid bomb is the demo that got lost... Sounding great like the cold north. 

‘I Belong’ by Andi is also coming from Iceland and closes the package with a very elegant and well made electronica track that leaves you longing for more. A true talent to watch out for! ”In the track the classic mantra “I belong to you” is repeated several times over throughout the song, treated as if it were a sample from another source than my own voice, although heavily processed. This is basically just me talking to myself, for the purpose of belonging more fully to others. The track sprang from a feeling of loneliness causing me to expand unnecessary boundaries of belonging.” This is Andi’s second appearing on S&B.

Jepe in top form by way of AEON! As expected the Berlin-based Portuguese producer and DJ has created an uplifting yet nostalgic EP including three originals and a remix by Johannes Albert. The release began to shape during last spring, as Jepe was roaming between enjoying sunsets on Kreuzberg’s Admiralbrücke and the white sandy beach of his hometown, Aveiro.
