Just when you thought you had Kasper Bjørke figured out he comes back with another great musical surprise. 

The new album Puzzles, which will be released April 5th on hfn music, is no exception. It follows two recent collaborative EPs on Live At Robert Johnson and Mule Musiq as well as his second Kasper Bjørke Quartet neoclassical ambient album Mother on Kompakt.

Conversations features Systur (aka Sísý Ey) on vocals and is the first single to be revealed from Puzzles and the song immediately grabs you with its slinky groove and gorgeous melody. 

Reminiscent of a great lost Fleetwood Mac tune which would feel equally at home in your living room or on any discerning modern dancefloor. 
The pairing of Icelandic dream-folk trio Systur’s beautiful vocals and harmonies, along with the track Kasper created a perfect match. The bass is played by Tomas Høffding (WhoMadeWho), one of Kaspers regular collaborators. Kasper has also previously worked together with the Icelandic sibling trio on the song Apart which was released in 2014 on Kasper´s album After Forever where the remix by Michael Mayer since became a dancefloor evergreen.

DANISH-HONDURAN SINGER AND ELECTRONIC ARTIST JULIE PAVON
shares her new track ‘Lost Child’.

The track is officially released on May 31 and marks the first single from her forthcoming debut album, which will be released in the beginning of 2025 on Music For Dreams.

Pavon has been named among emerging artists to watch in 2024 by DJ Mag and Disco Pogo. Her “combustible blend of impassioned lyrics and club-geared beats” (DJ Mag) have earned her comparisons to Charlotte Adigéry and Kelly Lee Owens, while Danish critics have named her “the country’s fiercest live performer” (Soundvenue).

Pavon has released a run of singles over the past few years, picking up
accolades such as Track of the Week from Danish national radio P3 (‘Don’t Call Me Out’), while gathering underground hype through her feverish live shows. In 2024 she released her first EP, Watch Her Dance on Copenhagen based Music For Dreams. Most recently a Musumeci remix of her single ‘High’ has received support from Dixon, Âme, Gerd Janson + more.

On new track ‘Lost Child’, Pavon sets her fiery vocals against a stylish, high-octane house pop beat. The song, written by Pavon herself, explores conflicting feelings of empowerment and confusion, channeling both the thrill and vertigo of youth into one, single discharge of energy.

She says about the song:

“‘Lost Child’ is a song about maintaining one’s childish ways in life. Not being afraid to be curious, unassuming, spontaneous. To live in one’s own way, even if it means getting lost out there.”

This summer Julie Pavon is playing at Roskilde Festival (DK) and Fusion
Festival (DE) among other shows.
