With early support from the likes of BBC 6Music's Nemone, The Selector, Dubmission, XLR8R and Clash Magazine “River Solos EP” is the inaugural release for composer and producer Lossy on his new label Boot Cycle Audio. Having previously released with Tru Thoughts and Tessier-Ashpool, Boot Cycle Audio is where we can find a more experimental, electronic and eclectic Lossy, with works often inspired by live looping jams. A London resident of many years, these tracks are inspired by watercourses within the capital, and consist of a set of solo synthesizer pieces, all played on the Korg Volca Keys. Having made a name for himself with his densely layered and intricate soulful works, the restrictive approach to these new compositions has resulted in an interesting and varied output.

We begin with the analogue soundtrack stylings of River Thames, followed by the mystery and intrigue of the hidden River Neckinger with nods towards the Gymnopedies of Satie and oriental flavour to the harmony. Regent’s Canal and River Lea are altogether more playful, sounding in parts like computer game themes, featuring pseudo-classical arpeggios and Radiohead inspired chord sequences. The music is at times ambient and cinematic whilst always pulsing and energetic, revealing Lossy in all of his nerdy muso glory.

Après leur premier various  Figures , @Slowciety s’apprête à sortir Guru, le prochain EP de @Sunrom. L’artiste a déjà collaboré avec de prestigieux labels tels que Kompakt, Ancient Future Now ou encore The Bricks. Quatre morceaux organiques constituent cet EP au croisement de la deep-house, worldmusic et de la techno. Le morceau éponyme guru que nous vous présentons là est une véritable balade sous psychotropes. Bien deep comme on les aime. 
Il est suivi de Quirigua, track hétéroclite évoquant un rite maya en Amazonie. La face B s’ouvre sur les kicks sourds d’Elephant, pour s’achever sur l’envolée d’Utopia et son élégant arpeggiator. 
Cet EP étrange et personnel envoutera les dancefloors en mal d’inédit.
Sortie prévue les 8 (vinyle) et le 23 septembre 2017 en digital. 
Le 8, la soirée de lancement aura lieu à La Marbrerie (Montreuil) avec Nathan Melja, Days In Orbit (Live) et le crew Slowciety.

Null + Void  - Where I Wait feat. Dave Gahan Remixes Pt.2

Following on from the first tranche of remixes of Null + Void’s ‘Where I Wait’, this extra package pulls out yet more big guns.

For Null + Void, the project of Kurt Uenala, the Swiss born producer and multi-instrumentalist who has a long history of working with synth legends, ‘Where I Wait feat. Dave Gahan’ was a straight up highlight of last year’s album ‘Cryosleep’.

Here Null + Void himself takes on one of the re works, twisting the original into a hard hitting electro bomb. Dave Gahan’s vocals float over the pulsing and punchy blips and bleeps to form a striking partnership.

The other two mixes are by Danish legend Kasper Bjørke, who opts for a more laconic pace - a chugging and playful groove provide the bedrock for the iconic vocals.

Bjørke also supplies an instrumental version to please the DJs, giving space to his exquisite production, right up to the compressed vinyl samples and detuned, fuzzy synths.
