Ornella has been a fixture in Oslo’s clubbing scene since before she was a DJ. A regular presence on the dance floors of Villa and Jaeger, Ornella eventually made the leap to the other side of the booth, encouraged by peers that had seen a nascent talent. 

Her presence on dance floors are still consistent, but in recent years she’s been orchestrating it, rather than participating in it. Known for sets that cultivate mood and atmosphere, Ornella has been a favourite in DJ booths around Oslo and further afield. When she’s not in the booth she’s facilitating the scene with her work as the booker for Gehor, adding to the rich sonic landscape of the city. 

Ornella makes her debut on Jaeger Mix with a 2 hour sonic journey through House music’s extended reach in an atmospheric and airy progression.

Miko Franconi is a Honolulu-based DJ/producer and the founder of Centered Hawaii events. For decades, he has been a prominent figure in Hawaii’s house and techno scene. Known for his moody, atmospheric dark beats blended with driving indie rhythms and captivating vocal tracks, Miko’s sets have become a staple in underground dance music. His unique sound, drawing from diverse influences, has earned him recognition both in Hawaii and beyond. Featured in the May 2022 issue of DJ LIFE magazine (formerly DJ TIMES) for his contributions to the dance music scene, he was also voted "DJ of the Year" by The Honolulu Star-Bulletin. His recent release, "Universal Love," in collaboration with Musumeci, reached Beatport’s Top 10 Deep House chart.

Spreading aloha through his music, Miko curates some of Hawaii's most innovative events with his promotional company, Centered Hawaii, bringing world-class talent to the islands. Whether hosting his residency nights or organizing island festivals, Miko is committed to elevating Hawaii's presence on the global dance music map.

Now we are delighted to present the accompanying remixes. An illustrious group of long-time companions has come together to pay tribute to the master of electronic eccentricity with remixes. Schlammpeitziger says thank you in his own way by immortalizing all the contributors with finely selected photos, hand-decorated on the cover.

Meet Leng’s latest signings, Liminal – a Danish duo comprised of guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and producer David Rosenkilde, and DJ, producer and sound engineer Morten Troest. 

The pair first met when Rosenkilde was booked to perform as a session musician at Troest studio. They clicked immediately so with Troest’s studio skills and inherent knowledge of what works on dancefloors paired with Rosenkilde’s abilities as a musician they decided to produce their own music together working to one simple rule: try out every idea, however outlandish!

Since then, Rosenkilde and Troest have been recording their debut album that’s set for release on Leng later in 2025. First, though, we get a taste of their talents via ‘Keep Coming Back To Me’, an impressive debut single that blends electric and electronic instrumentation while keeping its focus fixed on the dancefloor.

Ushered in by shakers, rubbery bass and flanged guitar licks, ‘Keep Coming Back To Me’ blurs the boundaries between colourful nu-disco, low-slung dub disco and the sun-splashed beauty of the more club-friendly end of the Balearic spectrum. It boasts a hazy, multi-tracked and lightly glassy-eyed lead vocal, as well as a nagging TB-303 acid line that works its way to the fore as the track progresses, adding extra layers of excitement and energy as it unfolds.

Remixer Ray Mang (AKA long-time friend of the label Raj Gupta) takes the latter element as his inspiration on a stunning, nine-minute plus remix that brilliantly re-frames the track as a blend of tactile 21st century nu-disco colour, hypnotic proto-house and analogue-rich, acid-fired Chicago jack. Re-playing the bassline in an early Chicago house style and reaching for lo-fi and spacey synth sounds, the veteran British producer frequently strips the track back to the groove before re-introducing the vocal and the dreamiest of chords.

Liminal also display their sonic diversity on bonus cut ‘The Moon Is Changing’, a wonderfully atmospheric and star-lit affair in which spacey ambient chords, twinkling electric piano keys and intergalactic electronics slowly usher in a mid-tempo Norse nu-disco groove. The pair build slowly, adding vocals and layered guitar licks. The results are hard to pigeonhole but thoroughly impressive, offering a tantalising glimpse of what’s to come on their must-check debut album.

H-Foundation is the legendary DJ and production duo, Hipp-e and Halo. Founded in the late 90s, Eric Galaviz (Hipp-E) and Brian Varga (Halo) took their West Coast house and techno inspirations and created a unique dub-influenced sound that transformed the music scene and helped birth today’s tech house genre. Tracks such as “Hear Dis Sound” and “Tonight” catapulted H-Foundation to the top of the music scene, garnering accolades from Pete Tong and Carl Cox, and landing a long-standing residency at London’s famed Fabric night club.

After years of success, the pair decided to part ways to focus on individual pursuits and life goals. But, in 2020, after years of personal and spiritual growth, H-Foundation is back together, rejuvenated and reinvigorated more than ever. Inspired by the same interests that brought these two friends together two decades ago, Hipp-E and Halo are in the studio again creating sophisticated, ground-breaking rhythms and sound. With a release planned for DJ and tastemaker Yousef’s Circus label in early 2020 and plans to align with top labels such as Crosstown Rebels & Muted Noise, H-Foundation is poised to push forward the direction of organic house and techno for years to come.
