Dropped this at the end of my Lollapalooza showcase a few weekends ago. I made this saxophone driven juke-hop thing as a nod to the groundbreaking Chicagoan DJ Rashad and the place where he came from. It's a remix of a cover of an original; Sade's "Cherish The Day", released in 1993, got a funky hip hop / neo soul facelift by Robert Glasper Experiment F/ Lalah Hathaway in 2012, which then received this complete and final heady percussive flip by Yours Truly just last month. Plenty of stimulating details in here ladies & germs, so be sure to turn the lights out and spark one up while you peep this. Listen, like, share, comment, & enjoy!

Peace y’all! This right here is the *deluxe edition* of the Lollapalooza promo mix that I was handing out at my festival showcase in Chicago. The original mix was available exclusively in hard copies on site, but I came home and added a shload of new bells & whistles to it, and am now releasing it to the public for your listening pleasure! This version includes a new & improved intro, cartoony voiceover skits, enhanced blends, and much more of those vicious Throdown scratch segments that you’ve come to expect!

 I chose to feature primarily DMV cats on this mix, in an effort to curate our local sound for the Chicago heads. Big ups to SaintLike, Obeyah, Professor950, Goldlink, Louie Lastic, Kali Uchis, Lindsay Lowend, Nacey, & Capitol Trill for reppin the hometeam!

There's a little bit of everything in here; twerk, moombah, latin brass, early 2000's hip hop, jungle, trap, dancehall, Bmore, 2 step, juke, and a whole lot of turntablism. I also put a handful of new Throdown works on there too, including the saxy juke-hop bass remix at the end, which I'll be droppin at the end of the month. Listen, like, share, comment, & enjoy!

Here's the live recording of my set from the incredible PEX Halloween Ball #10 in Philadelphia a few weeks ago. I even wasn't aware that the recording got saved until earlier this week, so I'm thrilled that I can share it with yall! The first few minutes never got recorded, so I made a new intro.

PEX blessed my Camp Beemore fam with a massive outdoor tribute stage all to ourselves, so we made sure to bring the house down for em! This was also my first appearance at a PEX event, so I had to thro it down extra hard for this one. Lots of turntablism, bass music bangers and Halloween hype in here, enjoy!
