And how you worked on your sick bed, crocheting,making blankets and bed spreads
In the kitchen slaving over hot stoves and em 
Me and my older brother share the same clothes and em
I remember when you use to say, if i ever go to jail that’s where i’m going to stay
but em, you was at every court date with the bible in your hand trying to preach me straight
and i just want to tell you thanks
Your baby boy came up and i’m holding rank

I’m like Eddie Griffen with dysfunction family, my nieces and nephews I love em that’ my family
And they loving the kiddo plus the fact that I’m rapping always helps me a little 
‘cause I remember the days of runnin a stray,  running the trays thinking of ways to get paid 
But all I got was days in court, nights in systems, shot the whole week and i’m with em
It’s funny now they show me they bundles while we doin plays station and they calling me Uncle 
So i tell em about street life how i knew it, we talk about music, they say they love how i do it
I don’t judge em I love em, fuck with em, i’ll put something hot in anybody for either one of em, ya heard
Little soldier was poppin today, i still recall the first time i laid eyes on your face
your mama brought you into this world, i’m not gonna like i was glad my first born was a baby boy and not a girl 
Now yellow one kicks in the jersey, eyes red from the purple and hershie 
Hasheem’s on the football team, Ella may’s only 2 but her attitudes mean 
Jahari he’s the king of the throne, and me i’m el a mean, and i’m Brooklyn’s own

Queensbridge O.G. Big Twins connects with his Infamous Mobb brethren Godfather Pt. III for the gripping, chilling new video for “Paranoid” directed by Medley Films. It’s also the latest we’re hearing from TNT, Twins’ upcoming collaborative album with L.A. producer Twiz The Beat Pro.

Like the track itself, the visuals center on a narrative in which whoever crossed Twins (and by extension Godfather) is suffering from a serious case of paranoia after leaving him for dead. Because here’s the thing, if you’re going to cross him, you should probably make sure that one of the these three things happens: He doesn’t know your identity; he won’t be able to remember what happened; or he won’t walk away from it. 

If you do leave Twins well enough to recover, well, you can see the consequences of doing that in the video (which is to be continued…).

Twins and Twiz’s joint album, 'TNT,' which is now available for pre-order via iTunes, arrives this Friday, April 1 through Sound Unity Entertainment. Black Thought, Common, Pharohe Monch, Absolute - Lyricist Lounge Freestyle (Bonus Track)

A year short of 25 years old, today marks the anniversary of N.W.A's debut, Straight Outta Compton. One of hip hop's most defining albums, it's release was the genesis of the evolution of "Gangsta Rap".  With one fell swoop, the album was responsible for the slow shift from East Coast dominance. "The World's Most Dangerous Group", single-handedly changed the game, as they literally bursting through the "I Have A Dream" sign in their popular "Express Yourself" video. The album, which offered up three official singles, is touted for becoming the first album to reach platinum status with no airplay support and without any major tours. (The album went double platinum in '92).  Penned mostly by Ice Cube and MC Ren, the album introduced the world to a side of California, that most had never seen, one beyond the Hollywood sign. Every member, with the exception of Yella, had a solo joint on the album, however his contribution from a production standpoint, alongside Dr. Dre beats, set the foundation for the West Coast Sound.

Without a doubt the album's most notorious cut, was the rebellious, protest record, "Fuck Tha Police." The riotous, outspoken track focused on the resentment towards the LAPD and  was widespread across the country.  The song even provoked the FBI to caution N.W.A's record company about the lyrics.   So in paying homage to the anniversaries of the album and that explosive record, one which has impacted both hip hop and pop culture, we lined up ten other great Hip Hop Cop records, for your listening pleasure.
