UK based Techno producer best known by his work on the Belgium based Token Records and whose style ranges from gritty minimal techno to Detroit influenced material. Originally a Mastering engineer, Ø[Phase] began producing as a sideline, releasing his debut 'Module Overload' on Steve Bicknell's Lost/Cosmic records in 2000. This was followed by a string of productions for London's Surface/Inceptive Records and Ben Sims Ingoma imprint, all of which saw consistent big name support throughout the techno community. He started working with Token in 2007 and since then his music has progressively gained more & more worldwide attention - most significantly on 2012's much acclaimed 'Binary Opposition' single and subsequent 'Reprocessed' remix package. Recent times have seen him remix for the likes of Robert Hood, Peter Van Hoesen & Mark Broom amongst others while avid support from Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock have led to several appearances at Berghain in Berlin. MindTrip is the label ran by Pfirter that is now based in Barcelona. Consistently impressive, their roster of leading artists includes Chris Liebing, Lucy, Oscar Mulero for example.

Promising talent Diego Amura from Naples makes his debut on MindTrip after rising through the ranks with gigs alongside Ben Klock, Dax J, Rødhåd, Sleeparchive and Marcel Dettmann for example. Not only tipped for his DJ skills, his music has featured on ARTS, Planet Rhythm and Konsequent amongst others.

Supplying a blissful and brainteasing remix is none other than Jonas Kopp fresh from his latest album on his second album on the mighty Tresor.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the original and title track “Automa” that has already picked up a play from Ben Sims, but loved by Svreca, Inigo Kennedy and Luke Slater. The raw and gritty sounds are accompanied by hypnotic note stabs and drones that adds a sense of depth to the energetic, club sound.

Lindsey is no stranger to the techno circuit, DJing around the US and internationally the past few years. She is now venturing into production, this release marking her debut EP and debut on the Los Angeles imprint. 

The title track "Eine Reise durch den Geist" provides powerful groove supported by mesmerizing rhythms and deep pads. Next, "Zyklus" brings a heavy driving bass line, bringing the intensity to the dancefloor. Lastly, Motionen's remix combines Lindsey's atmosphere with Motionen's tripped out interpretation of her work.

Hidden Recordings first release of 2019 sees longZme label boss Deepak Sharma conZnue to build his por[olio on the imprint with a fourth solo EP, a gri]y and tense four-tracker ‘Patala’.

Patala in Hindu cosmology refers to the subterranean realms of the universe, an underworld beneath the earth. Rising up you reach Prithvi, or the mortal plane that is earth. Above that is Svarga, or heaven.

Inspired by these worlds, he delivers three originals with pulsaZng synth lines, raw rhythmic drums with hypnoZc and ethereal soundscapes.

Tadeo is widely respected and revered for his forward thinking imaginaZon and offers a complex, powerful remix blending Detroit and Chicago techno.

Side A begins with ‘Patala’ and freneZc synths influencing the mind through airy hypnoZsm, exhibiZng subtlety in creaZng a dance-floor groove. Tadeo’s ambiZous remix blossoms from the original adding new musical landscapes and marvelous sounds.

Side B starts with ‘Prithvi’ keeping you on edge between the underlying vocals sca]ered between a gripping baseline and off-kilter synth movements with Zmely off-beat drums that culminate into a dramaZc show overall. ‘Svarga’ stretches out with twisZng and curving synth lines and intensifies with an ebb and flow of eerie sound and spacious atmosphere.
