The ostinato, the repeating single note in the intro, represents her beating heart, and the tumour's presence, sometimes forgotten but still spreading. How do ill people find peace, if they do at all? c‘est une pièce funéraire dédiée à la mère d’une amie qui est décédée d'un cancer.  L’ostinato, la note répétée de l’intro symbolise le battement de son cœur ainsi que la tumeur inquiétante, parfois oubliée, mais toujours présente. Comment les gens malades trouvent-ils la paix, si jamais ils le peuvent? roses est ma tentative de refléter les souvenirs musicaux de quelqu'un, passant de la pop aux souvenirs classiques et se concluant sur l'harmonie nostalgique. - Jean-Michel Blais (01/25/18)

‘blind’ is a reflection about human limitations. Interviewed about agnosticism, David Attenborough brilliantly stresses the point whether we’re missing senses to perceive and understand the world around us - what a pretension it would be! Built as a subtle transition from acoustic to electronic, the piece blends genres, deconstructs categories, pushes back boundaries alongside a spectrum reflecting human’s potential to self-transcendence. Might we be blind at night, at least we aren’t deaf.

'blind' est une réflexion sur les limitations humaines. Un jour interviewé à propos de l'agnosticisme, David Attenborough s'interrogeait à savoir si nous possédions tous les sens nécessaires pour percevoir et comprendre le monde qui nous entoure - quelle prétention ce serait d’y croire! Construite en subtile transition de l'acoustique vers l'électronique, la pièce métisse les genres, déconstruit les catégories, repousse les limites en proposant un spectre reflétant le potentiel humain à l'autotranscendance. Bien qu'aveugles la nuit, au moins ne sommes-nous point sourds.

Thanks to Dasha and Lars for finishing this experimental techno mix during a busy year of them. For this mix, they called it " B SIDES " techno, the idea of this mix came from dirty techno with experimental edges, live made special techno for Smoke machine. When we received this mix, it reminds us that Dasha played a very unique experimental set at Labyrinth festival in Japan, when you start listening to the mix, you'll know what to do.

Dasha also played at Smoke Machine party last year, it was one of craziest night we never had. This year, we will have LADA live first debut in Asia, event hosted by Smoke Machine and Bitta from DJ NOBU's label at Unit Tokyo.
