Since 1991 I've been using SQUIM as a name for multimedia projects including mail art, tape trading and live performance.

Bernhard Weiss is a composer/producer, percussionist and multiinstrumentalist from Vienna/Austria. 

Besides his work as a percussionist in numerous bandprojects he creates music for contemporary dance performances, butoh performances and theaterprojects featuring all over the planet.

Collaborations include Kanazawa Butoh Kan, Mayu Kan, Matthew Smith, Ramona Kasheer, Maria Grünbaum, rollingpoint, Aiko Kazuko Kurosaki, Brigitte Deutsch, Lilian Fritz, Christina Gaismeier, Lore Heuermann, Katie Duck, National Theatre Rijeka, Salon Flux, Studio Dance Company Zagreb and many others…

Industrialized electronics with alienating drones, disrupted musicality, distortion and static frequencies: a sum of melting influences that range from power electronics to dub.
Behind the project is André Coelho, founding member of the now defunct Sektor 304, former collaborator in Mécanosphère and currently part of the ambient duo Iurta.

Sound collage, sound painting, sound art, drone, musique concrete, experimental, ambient, minimalism, surrealism, Dada, noise, noise rock, unexplainable. All recorded at The Abattoir studio.
