A come back of Hidden Vibes music label with the concept of Web 3.0 music and blockchain tech. It required from us quite a long tine of new tech education, community building and music NFT marketplace development.  And here we are with our first ‘hybrid’ release. 

From now we are building all label’s future music development on the collectible spirit of music. That’s why half of the EP’s we release would be always limited in the amount of copies available for sale. And that’s what blockchain tech allows us to do today. That’s what we call “hybrid” release. The idea behind is to release EP when half of the tracks would go through standard distribution chains but the other half would be available only on blockchain in the format of music NFT with limited copies. 

The first drop is headed by unique and well-known Berlin based talent Cook Strummer. A music riot with Belgian roots famous for a rock’n’roll spirit live gigs. Since his debut album in 2018 on LOK Recordings, he has had high profile support from the likes of Laurent Garnier and Adam Port. For us this is a huge step to bring a big talent from physical world to web3music space. 2 tracks that go as music NFTs are incredible and are must to be collected by electronic music heads. 

Let’s bring back the collectible spirit of music back that allows us to unlock the potential of secondary market sales. Like vinyl editions but in digital format. With the new tech we have a chance to improve the incomes from music sales.

Cook Strummer — Highway | Snippet

Second single taken from Rampue's forthcoming album 'Bubblebath Trance', which also marks A Tribe Called Kotori's first foray into full-length territories, here comes 'Verfahren / Schattenschranz'. Cut from the same immaculate, ethereal cloth that's come to define his smoothly oneiric style over the years, this new pair of bleached-out belters from the Berlin-based escapologist treats us to an effortlessly lush tableau of both wistful and dynamic electronica, tear-jerking and multi-dimensional in essence. Fuelled on kodachromatic beachside vibes and faux balearic-infused jazz, Rampue's sonic postcards are true poetry in motion, as their deep and largely dubbed-out flavours reveal themselves on a drip tease flex, fleshing out with unheard levels of detail and depth as you listen to them more attentively. 

A total mindtrip of a track and deeply cinematic object, 'Verfahren' embraces Rampue's hair-raising take on the classic electronica formula and injects it with an ambrosial nectar of uplifting trancey motifs and pixelated beauty akin to his beloved PS1 games' soundtracks. Transporting downtempo beauties for the dance floor and not, sure to teleport you right up captivating dreamlands and away from the daily struggle. Dunked in thick puddles of tape delays and rippling reverbs, 'Schattenschranz' resounds with echoes from easternmost melodies and coastal jazz harmonics, weaving its own narrative at the conjunction of heavy-lidded boogie and Latin brass music to fascinating effect. Feet buried deep into a white blanket of sand, your mind wandering off to some exotic Shangri-La, Rampue's music is a vessel to a whole other world, where burdens get wings of their own and hopefulness is the master plan. Electronics at its most refreshingly tuneful and forward-looking.

STUG Music was born in April 2007 organize events in The Netherlands. Club venues like Paard van Troje The Hague, Doornroosje Nijmegen & Studio 80 Amsterdam were homebase of 55 events where (Inter)National artists were invited.
Focus on programming (Inter)National heroes of the Past, the Present & the Future it was always a big wish to start a music label.
Premiere of STUG Music, label & events runned by Bart van Rijn. Two original tracks from the founder remixed by specialists in their genre Perel & Rhadow.
Perel got our attention since her release "Cantuccini" on label Rebirth in 2017 and with her future album release on DFA Records in 2018, we are very happy that she delivered a Galaxy remix of 'Mae' for our imprint.
A fan of his tracks and the minimalistic house sound made us getting in contact with the Romanian producer Rhadow. With also releases on label Sintope (NTFO) he transformed the original track 'Spyder' into an eight minute drums & driving rhythm remix.
After a steady foundation STUG Music is ambitious in building an International crew of artists around the imprint & publish their originals too.
