Born in London Paul started out in the late 80’s as a club DJ, then record shop manager, then producer.
 
Since those early Dj gigs, Paul’s underlying motivation has and always will be the music; ambient, hip hop, breakbeat, soul, funk, dub, boogie, electro and Detroit techno: urban music with deep roots, social conscience and soul.
 
His live sets are powered by modular synthesis, analog drum machines, effects pedals and bass; dub techno meets electro meets ambient meets Hierophant.

'Sound of' explores the different soundscapes, genres and geographies within electronic dance music. For her latest mix, Anna Rose Wirth aka Anx has mixed a collection of effervescent sounds inspired by her obsession with fizzy water. The show starts with a deep, ambient intro and slowly builds through moody trance, dubby house, bubbly-bass and Drexciyan techno. Expect to be craving a glass of sparkles by the end!

So with this episode being the final episode of the year and the play count on here hitting 250k what a way to go out with a BANG! 
 Im just one one man with a love for music and a a bigger love for people who may not get the shine elsewhere,  that is why i set up the EMOTEC record label but more of that in 2021, back to the matter at hand.   This episode features new material and imo one of the best track i think Strick has produced ever, taken from his new ep on 7 Days Entertainment.  NKOTB Farren Laen and his Laen Discs, lovely deep house vibes and the Nara imprint throwing a real curveball EP out just before the close of 2020. 

 Forthcoming collab from 2 of the hottest producers in the scene right now on an amazing imprint Nebuale and the marriage of MOY & Zodiac Childs, these guys don't play!  On that note, they both appear here solo to add to the weight!  Elsewhere Marine Boy, new ish from the man like Bobo on Eluize's label which is pure fire!  
Label stable of the year imo too Anil's Furthur Electronix and Altered Senses and the man like MOY and Cignol and the mysterious pair SK 222.  Pure unadulterated emotional content.  CPU and Biochip providing the ruffness alongside the specimen camps Sound Synthesis and new signing Serge Geyzel.

“For our 1st show of the year we’d like to welcome OA team member, Aleks to the airwaves.
Aleks released his first album “Pool Daze” on OA back in 17, 9 deep hardware cuts, and 2 powerful HVL remixes.
He then continued his journey with labels such as Natural Sciences, Deeptrax and his own imprint, Lonely Planet, where he’s just finished producing a new album, from “space with love”, out later this year.
For today’s show Aleks worked on a mighty 2 hr set, the first hour of which is A deep techno & knackered house DJ set; the 2nd part he has prepared live set packed with his signature sounds built around analogue gear, degraded tape & distortion pedals.
