Ahead of the release of his 'As I Am' EP set to be released on his imprint HIFI/LOFI Records, @franz-matthews unveils a cosmic revision of the main title by praised belgian producer @vhyce .

Produced during Matthews' time spent in Barcelona at the beginning of summer 22, As I Am lifts off with a carpet of heavy organs unfolding in a powered up euphoria of synth chords, before a choir of empowering & self reflective gang vocals, reminiscent of early LCD Soundsystem's 'Sound of Silver' days, throw us in our face to fully accept who we are and be proud of our uniqueness. The trip takes us even further in a cosmic festival of funky acid leads which will mind bend any listener that will encounter the path of this catchy happiness filler.

HIFI/LOFI Records is thrilled to announce the debut EP from Palestinian-Jordanian and London-based DJ / Producer Adnan Khadra. Titled Solar Visions, the highly anticipated release drops on May 2nd and showcases Adnan’s ability to blend warm, driving and immersive sounds, straddling the line between personal, deeply-felt emotional work and uplifting moments of release through each and every track. Backed by a festival-ready remix provided by Italian master Dodi Palese, we are confident that Solar Visions will not only find its way in many DJ’s bags, but also resonate deeply with listeners through Adnan’s strong and touching emotional journey he shares with us through this brilliant release.

Adnan Khadra has been making waves since his 2022 debut at London’s iconic Fabric. With following appearances at the club’s Room 1 and 2, sharing the bill with the likes of Âme, John Digweed, Eagles & Butterflies, Mano Le Tough, Kerala Dust, and many more, but also releasing a collaboration with Pattn on fabric Records. Now unveiling « Solar Visions », Adnan’s talent shines through in every detail, and we couldn’t be happier to support his growing reputation and rising artistic journey.

Opening the EP, ’Capricious Society’ has all it takes to be a hit : emotion, groove, carefully crafted synth stabs, melodic synth-escapades and driving arpeggiators, as well as ethereal sounding vocoders. One track made for those special and emotional moments on the dancefloor.

Dodi Palese takes ‘Capricious Society’ to festival territory, its ostinatos taking center stage to transform the original into a hypnotic and powerful anthem with a relentless rise of energy. While the original track feels like an emotional dream, the remix adds the power factor to it.
Photons brings another facet of Adnan’s Solar Visions, with heady synths, soaring choirs, as well as epic and emotionally charged chord progressions.

Psychedelic Pina Colada brings is in a more percussive dreamscape, showcasing Adnan’s knack for intricate and catchy melodic patterns, acid synths, and celestial pads—topped off with a mesmerising flute-like lead.

Previously featured on Feed The Void’s fundraising compilation to support the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Dreamweaver is a poignant closing statement about hope and resilience—serving as a positive reminder that music can inspire change, and hope for better days to come, and we believe through his music, Adnan is the perfect messenger for this purpose. (Dreamweaver will only be available as a bonus track bundled with the EP, the original release is still available to purchase as a single via Feed The Void).

PREMIERE – Franz Matthews, Johannes Klingebiel – La Traversée (Feines Tier)

Feines Tier veteran Johannes @klingebiel introduces @franz-matthews to the family and together they bring us “Ce Moment” EP, a basket of tunes full of colorful harmonies, bouncy grooves and poetic French lyrics. What more could one wish for?
The two producers and multi-instrumentalists met some years ago in their chosen
hometown Berlin and decided to fuse their producing and multi-instrumentalism game.
The first fruit of this labor was the much-loved and -played “Signs” on Heimlich records, now being followed by this EP here.
The title tune is an amalgamation of groovy electric bass riLs, spicy Prophet synth
sounds, melancholic vocals and certainly has something of that magic ingredient
people call the French Touch. A good tune to pick for House DJs who dig some Disco now and then and for Disco DJs in need of some solid House.
“La Traversée” is a crossing (multi-language pun intended) of bazillions of quirky synth sounds and melodies that somehow form a coherent whole, the sum of its part being a light and friendly but not cheesy house tune, that will make the sun go up on any dancefloor.
The mighty Kompakt overlord @michael-mayer-kompakt takes “Ce Moment” under his spell. The result is a grander and more mysterious aLair, made for bigger and darker dancefloors. The Sound of Cologne™ this is indeed!
Parisian up-and-comer @shimon-earthly adapts „La Traversée” into his sonic world. When Matthews and Shimon discussed the finished remix on the phone in French, all that le dilletant Johannes could understand from it were the words “très cool” and “after-hour vibe” , which… yes, completely tracks!
