Often we tend to write an introductory story or piece of fiction when making reference to a record we are premiering. However, from time to time a record comes along which needs little introduction... "Beefcake" is the name in question. The infamous quote from South Park in which Cartman becomes gigantic, literally. "BEEFCAKE", "BEEFCAKE", "BEEFCAKE".

FAT MEMORIES - Nymphae (Le Knight Club Re-edit)

As old as the editor himself is the great hitsingle from Kajagoogoo, which came out just one year before lead singer Limahl quit the band and had another big single hit with "neverending story", his share of the original sound track to Wolfgang Petersen's movie of same title. The hookline is so catchy that I couldn't believe there's no proper disco edit out there, so I did it myself. It's dedicated to the Goldengrün and it's great crew and my DJ fellows.

Kajagoogoo - Too Shy (Ben Postler's Hash Disco Edit)

Joseph Watt's Razormaid! edit of this song (taken from Chapter 7 - The Record Pool) was always my favorite because of how it has a great intro for mixing in, an amazing outro for exiting and how the energy flows so well throughout. Unfortunately, I was never able to locate a good digital copy - at least not one that I could find. So, I decided to construct my own using the original as a template and the Extended Version from the Bill Sharpe, "Famous People" CD as my source. I added a clean drums-only 32 count intro (8 measures) just to make it my own. Otherwise, it's spot on. Enjoy!
