"Jean-Jacques Rousseau, an important philosopher of the Enlightenment, often dealt with the topics of reality, perception and the natural versus the artificial in society. Although the quote "What is real and what is not?" … it summarises a central theme of his philosophy: the questioning of social constructs and the search for a return to what he considered to be a more natural and authentic state. Rousseau argued that many aspects of society were artificial constructs that distanced people from their true nature. His call to recognise and reconcile these distinctions challenges us to reflect on our own perceptions of reality and authenticity."

“Kalanda Tapes” is a new monthly podcast by HiFi Low Life designed to bring the listener a window into some of the best new underground electronic music releases of the month. Carefully selected tracks mixed seamlessly and recorded to cassette tape for a high fidelity audio experience. New Episodes released in the last week of the month. 

Also keep an eye out for new episodes of “FOCUS TAPES” for mixes putting the spotlight on a single artist or label. Next episode takes a look at the seminal German electronica label “SOURCE RECORDS '' and will be released mid March. All this alongside more concept mixes which are selections put together based on a theme (no matter how abstract).
