Green Demons

The brand new single ‘GREEN DEMONS’ of highcoast’s upcoming record ‘sunday cravings’ coming early 2022

This song is a student project made by students from the HAW-Hamburg. We tried to mix elements from our favorite songs together and thus create a whole new song. The Songs we used as inspiration are: "What's my age again" by Blink 182, "Apply Some Pressure" by Maximo Park, "Forget me nots" by Patrice Rushen, and "Happier Than Ever" by Billie Eilish.

Happy Again

Life's a beach. highcoast is a surfrock four piece formed in Australia, stranded in Germany in 2016. Since then, highcoast manages to carry the good vibes up on every stage with their sun-soaked summer tunes. A melodic pumping but still laid-back mixture of roughness and sweetness with their very own beach ready style and a unique sound.
Their new single “No Worries” is a catchy - chilled summer tune giving the listener time to reflect on their lives and giving hope in challenging times. Just tell yourself “Have No Worries, have no doubt there is sunshine behind each cloud”!

No Worries

We’re highcoast, an aussie inspired surfrock duo from the not-so-sunny city of Hamburg. Our take on the surf classic TEQUILA blends retro surf vibes with modern energy—recorded partly DIY, partly in a legendary Hamburg studio. It's a live-show favourite, so we captured the fun in a vintage karaoke bar musicvideo accompanying the release. We're promoting it with TikToks, Reels, and sweaty gigs—because this tune belongs on stage and in your summer playlists.

Tequila

The Twangmonkeys were singer-guitarist Buddy Olli (Oliver Blees), drummer Marcos Los Trappos (Marcus Trappe) and guitarplayer Daniel Neuys and they came bearing raw, trashy surf rock ska punk pop from Saturn (by way of Germany). Eclectic as they were playful, The Twangmonkeys have been rockin’ out as a trio for the past two years. Amanda Sheppard (Moneynine)
Das Trio, bestehend aus Buddy Olli (Vocals/Gitarre) alias Oliver Blees und Marcos Los Trappos (Drums) alias Marcus Trappe, sowie Gitarrist Daniel Neuys aus Straelen/Geldern/Kevelaer, entstand im Jahr 2015 aus der vierköpfigen Band `King Garage`. Doch Trio ist eigentlich nicht die richtige Bezeichnung für The Twangmonkeys, da es noch ein viertes, ganz wichtiges Mitglied in der Band gab. Immer mit dabei war, die 1965 kurz vor Hawaii bei einem Surfunfall verschiedene Bassistin der Band, Lady Death, die sogar eine eigene Facebook Fanpage hat. The Twangmonkeys standen für eine Mischung aus punkigem Surfrock, Garagen Rock, wie Marcos Los Trappos, den ganz eigenen Stil der Band beschreibt. Was sofort ins Ohr geht, sie spielten nicht nur irgendwelche belanglose Musik, sie lebten den Twang, der ihre Musik zu etwas ganz besonderem machte.
