'The spirit of dub continues to drive all the music I make,’ says Brian May a.k.a. Beam Up. ‘This album takes those dubwise qualities of rhythm, space and bass, to shape a series of tracks that could be tagged as a variety of genres.’ 
Dedicated to the great Osborne ‘King Tubby’ Ruddock, ‘…for repeatedly showing there are no rules’, Innerstand builds on that great legacy in its presentation of a truly contemporary, outernational dub experience.
Abetting Brian May are a diverse trio of vocalists, each of whom brings unique qualities to the project: Terrence Alfonso Bowry, a UK-born Canadian national whose experience has mostly been gained on Shanghai’s jazz and blues scene (where he worked alongside artists of the calibre of Wynton Marsalis) brings an ear for sophisticated harmony and improvisation; Jornick Joelick, a French-Guyanan rastaman with a big voice bringing an earthy, rootsical quality; and Katya Tasheva, a polyglot singer with what May calls ‘sublime frequencies’ whose background spans traditional (including world-music mavericks and former Beam Up compadres Rotfront) , pop and drum- and- bass. 
The album is a musical journey that of course references King Tubby’s Kingston, Ja. and Rhythm and Sound’s Berlin, but also the Balkans, Japan and Australasia (and more); as well as Pablo, Glen Brown  and The Skatalites, influences such as Prince suffuse the set, which sometimes takes on the feel of a version excursion, as May’s riddims nod to the classics of the past, subliminal echoes of the great dub tradition, though it’s more usually in the form of ‘inspiration’ than carefully worked out covers.  The Wire mag has already called this ‘timeless top-grade dub’ on the basis of a sneak preview, and we think that just about sums it up…

After Violinbwoy’s successful ‘Mono County’ twelver and Moonshine’s tight collaboration with Steppas Records, the imprint is ready to march on and announce its next 12-inch coloured vinyl release waiting in line.

The mighty Mungo’s Hi-Fi and Sekkleman have taken up Radikal Guru’s (RG) prolific ‘Subconscious’ long player. Each has picked a track of choice to lengthen and relive the Polish sound of 2013. With a remix of originals 
‘Stay Calm ft. YT’ and ‘Earthwalker, the imprint’s back catalogue is steadily shifting the sediment of dub(wise) music.  

Mungo’s Hi Fi’s take on RG’s ‘Stay Calm’ is a meditative jam that reaches out to the most high. The track is led by a low-toned bassline that immerses listeners in lo-fi tremor. It shakes chest plates, while YT’s blessed vocal work transcends the average dub plate. His energetic lines of wisdom align with Mungo’s futuristic drum work; all to forge a revolutionary sound that honours RG’s dub style. Guided by several melody leads, swinging flows and sample tweaks, this rework really sets a groove of its own.

The flip side of ‘MS024’ reaches out to a confident steppa-style production that will remind many of scene favourite Gorgon Sound. The Australian-based Sekkleman has an exciting go at reinterpreting ‘Earthwalker’ in his own profound way: a pounding kick, rowdy b-lines and an enthralling flute escort listeners through the path to Jah. The mental atmosphere that follows suit sets a tone that touches upon RG’s original intentions. It bundles the roots of this stepper, allowing it to effectively trigger a journey that eases down the brain; just close your eyes and skank towards peace and unity.

‘MS024’ embodies a returning theme, consisting of two remixes that add even more significance to the existence of Radikal Guru’s 2nd album. For us, taking part in this movement is all that matters. Thanks for your support!

After some many months of work and many different paths - from version over version over version… - this unique outernational collaboration finally bears its fruits and is ready fi one and all…
A heavy stepping riddim by Massive Dub Corporation (MDC) from Bourges, France, was given to Queen Omega from Port of Spain, Trinidad, for voicing. What came out is a chant full of energy inna conscious anthem style.
Inspired by the name of the label, the "Real Lioness" stepped into the recording booth to unleash her fyah and let everybody know about the ancient story and concept of the Lion's Den - not having lost any truth since then, relevant as ever in those modern days in babylon society. About always moving forward, despite the daily struggle, daily strive and fight, across any kind of barrier - believing in one's own mission, having faith and strength to spread a positive message. Queen Omega chants with strong dedication and will to fight for a better place.
Her vocal inspired MDC to rework the riddim as a live band and with live instrumentation and give it a little more rootsy touch. This version was then given to the dub and fx mastermind Anti-Bypass from Lyon, France, to take it into his 25th Toy Studio laboratory and run it through a crazy universe of custom modified machines in order to come up with a series of heavily dubbed out wet mixes, full of lovely effects and a lot of 'anti-bypass'.
But the journey didn't stop there and MDC went back on a ruff sound system style re-remix of their own tune to make you rock and skank…

So better drop the needle and let the disc take you on a journey… from Germany to France to Trinidad and beyond...

Both sides were transferred to 1/2inch Tape for extra analogue warmth, mastered with care and pressed on high quality 180g vinyl by Star Delta / Delta Disc, UK - of course also digikally available.

The next edition of Jahtari’s highly collectable 7” series sees Maffi return with a big bad thing called Heidi Riddim. Built from the DNA of Sleng Teng – Heidi flips the scripts on this most classic of classics by taking it to the black keys, in a minor key style and fashion. With its thick deadly bass line at the fore, Heidi has been specifically engineered to kill tin pan sounds and discombobulate Babylonians.

First in line to ride this creation is special agent 001, Speng Bond, who comes correct to warn all those foolhardy enough to think it’s wise to ride the White Horse and ramp with cocaine. On the version, Jahtari’s chief dubologist, disrupt, investigates just how far this dangerous new strain of Sleng Teng can be mutated.

With the other 7”, also pon Heidi, it’s all about old meets new: On the A side, with Run Di Session, the 16 year-old Parisian phenomenon Junior Roy demonstrates exactly why he has been creating such a wave amongst discerning dancehall fans lately. His distinctive vocal style bears uncanny similarities to the likes of Little Kirk and Yami Bolo at their prime, circa 1987.

On the flip, the veteran thoroughbred Lord Sassafrass gallops across the riddim with the same panache that saw him rule dancehalls across Jamaica in the 1980s. Lyrically, the legendary Sassa offers a compelling case for why the Horseman style he and his crew pioneered stands head and shoulders above the overhyped slackness being peddled by many today.

	Released on Friday March 24th, 2017 is the Lion Twins production called “Armageddon Riddim EP” featuring five vocalist totally. Of those five vocalist we are happy to announce that Princess Kazayah of D.O.V.E. Muzik, a Chicago based Reggae record label, is one featured on this compilation EP. 
	
	Lion Twins has teamed up with D.O.V.E. Muzik and recorded title track “Armageddon” with Princess Kazayah. This will be Princess Kazayah’s first release of the year 2017. She captivates the conscience of the listeners with melodic questions in her authorship. Drenched in truth and sweet in sound Kazayah brings substantial lyrics and melodies to the listeners allowing them to rock and learn all at once. With the drum and bass complimented by subtle saxophone segments, this song will have you rocking and skanking.

	Lion Twins based in Trinidad & Tobago are a new up and coming production label bringing forth quality Roots Reggae music. Armageddon Riddim EP being their sophomore release of the year 2017. Lion Twins are no stranger to music, they grow out of a lineage of music stemming all the way from King Lion Sound, their father. Lion Twins have been in the music for 12 years now with a sound system of their own. They now have taken on record production and are putting their first productions out for the year.

	Songs are now available on iTunes for pre-order and will be fully available on all digital media outlets Friday March 24th, 2017.
