Inspired from countless Bush Doofs and Raves beginning from the mid 90's and crystallised in 2010 through Ableton live. Self taught, J-Nish's journey is one of trial and error and willingness to break the rules set out by the genre police. Thanks for joining him on his journey as he explores sound design, synthesis and sampling and 
further develops his unique take on the world and spirit through sound.

Highly Evolved Music is a Melbourne based electronic music label which, since its creation in 2009, has found its place focused on the psytrance and techno genres. 

Through dedication to music and a steadily expanding influence, what started out as a small project is now lending no hints as to where it may end up. With an artist base currently comprising of all Australian producers Highly Evolved Music, embracing the digital domain, is dedicated to showcasing Australia's diverse and unique sounds with the world.

Osciloptix is the last member of an ancient civilisation of insectoids, known as the Oscilopsians, which inhabited the earth 400 million years ago during the Devonian period.

These crepuscular, insect-like creatures, staged planet-wide synchronised symphonies, at dusk and dawn, that would turn any stagnant body of water into a temporary cymatic masterpiece.

Facing extinction due to the evolution of amphibians at the beginning of the Carboniferous era, in an attempt to migrate to a different timeline, the Oscilopsians built a time portal deep beneath the planet's surface, in the great caverns and harnessed the earth's abundant geo thermal energy to power it.

When the portal was activated, the immense power drain caused the earth's magnetic poles to shift and the portal to implode, obliterating every living being in the caverns, collapsing the chambers and starting the continental drift of the tectonic plates of Gondwana.

Being late for the great migration, Osciloptix escapes the cataclysm that brought the entire insectoid civilisation to an end.

Feeling an incomprehensible disconnection from the hive mind and realising that his entire species is gone, he burrows deep underground, encasing himself in a cocoon, awaiting to resurface in the 21st century and carry on the legacy of the Oscilopsians.

At the crack of dawn when the air is thin and the mist starts to settle on the lush bush, sweet melodies creep up behind the dance floor engulfing the staggering zombies that have survived the night's darkness... The driving basslines slowly and from afar, pierce the hypnotic soundscapes, dominating and mutating into the surging force that becomes the rhythm of the morning... at the hit of a lingering cymbal everything goes silent............... and as the sun rises, the bass drops and people start to move....
