Made of advanced neometal alloys, its hull seemed to shimmer and glisten with an iridescent glow that warped and refracted the light of nearby stars around the craft. To the naked eye it appeared as though a mirage, and even the advanced sensors of many spacefaring empires would have trouble locating its exact position amidst the surrounding chromatic milieu.

Hailing from uncertain origins, its appearance was spoken of in hushed tones within the war rooms of this galaxy’s nations, for it was not known to be either friend or foe and bore no identifying insignia to mark its place of construction. The subspace pace it proceeded at was not rushed but yet bore a certain urgency, as though the ship stalked some unknown quarry from afar. No hails had been returned and no attempts to scan its interior had borne fruit, and thus on the planets below populations watched with anxious awe as it continued on whilst praying that it did not take specific notice of their lives. Thus it was that what could only be called the STARSHIP entered into galactic knowledge, and none yet knew where its course might lead.

DESPERSION debuts his devious first EATBRAIN release with the STARSHIP EP, which brings the label’s horde to intergalactic heights across the three tracks contained within. A rising star form Russia, DESPERSION’s prior releases have landed on labels including SLK Records, Empire Recordings, and Neuropunk Recordings, the latter being the imprint label of Eatbrain regulars Gydra & Teddy Killerz. Channeling the sonic energy gathered from these prior experiences, the STARSHIP EP shoots by at breakneck speed, overflowing with sci-fi textures and devastating bassline bombardments that follow the trend set by its name.

DIGITAL MURDER

@saintrobbers debut on Neuropunk!

There's no shortage of talented up-and-coming artists emerging from Russia lately, but not often do they have a sound palette as diverse as the Saint Robbers from St. Petersburg. After their great debut release on Timeofnight Recordings in 2020 and their huge bootleg of Phetsta's "Intergalactic", it didn't take long for other labels to take notice of them. Releases on Magnetude's & Task Horizon's label Evolution Chamber and others like Ignescent and Tonrecords followed. After massive appearances on Neuropunk festivals all over the area, and multiple spots on the Neuropunk podcast, it is now finally time for them to also emerge from the NEUROPUNK FORGE with their double single NOTARIC / TORN SHOE!

Alright, let's go over the plan one more time. Our target is NOTARIC, and yes, that's both his last name and his job description. He has been making shady deals with all sorts of criminals since forever and it's time someone taught him a lesson. Not that you and I dislike criminals, we are robbers after all, but his clients really are the worst of the worst. We strike during the night, wearing our trustworthy balaclava and black hoodie combo. I guess we could change into some new shoes soon though, these ones are a bit loose. Anyway, this security system is more involved than our usual targets. First, we've got laser motion sensors, which we'll disable with this malware I got off the dark web. Next up, we have to take care of the security cameras, but that's nothing a bolt cutter can't fix. Then we just need to get into the safe without alerting the guards. Easy!

The following night we go on about the heist exactly as planned. We sneak into the building unnoticed and launch our malware attack with my laptop in the hallway. One defense down, two to go. We continue into the next room and... the cameras are wireless?! I'll never trust the intel from that dark web guy ever again. Luckily, I can reconfigure the laptop to act as a signal jammer for the camera's connection.
Okay, time for the safe. After a few minutes of working on the mechanism, we hear faint footsteps outside. They have noticed us?! I realise the sole of my mate's TORN SHOE is gone, likely still lying
around in the hallway. We quickly open up the safe, grab as much as we can and bolt straight out of the nearest window, barely escaping the guards. As quietly as possible we slink through the streets back into our hideouts. That's the last time I'm taking that guy with me!

Without a suit an astronaut in space can last only 15 seconds before the Orbital Cold consumes the body. Once Tobax’s latest offering on Titan hits your ears, only 10 seconds are needed to feel that cold shiver down your spine.
As imagined, Orbital Cold immediately sounds like you have just walked on to the Nostromo and as it was in the film; you know something sinister is lurking around the corner. Before you realise a sci-fi baseline hits you along with haunting vocoder style stabs that transport the listener to an absolute monster of a drop.
Blessed could describe the talents of many but now it is Tobax’s time to shine and this record takes no prisoners. With a trance like intro to a militant build up and a drop to make an entire club or festival go crazy, Blessed is proof of Tobax’s serious talent.

Data 3 are a Drum and Bass trio hailing from the West Yorkshire Dales. The trio consists of Bryson (Pola & Bryson), Dubstep producer Syrum, and Garage DJ - M.ID.A.

2016 has been an exciting year for the act with releases on Soul Trader, Addictive Behaviour and SkankandBass, amongst others. Their music has won support from the likes of Friction, Mistajam and Calyx & Teebee.

Data 3 also enjoyed their first festival season this year with sets at Kendal Calling, Bearded Theory, Bestival, Reading and Glastonbury.
