In audio, it pertains to the difference between the softest and loudest sounds a device can accurately handle. In photography, dynamic range refers to the range of tones, from the darkest to the brightest, that a camera can capture.

In the context of ecstatic dance, dynamic range refers to the spectrum of movements and expressions a dancer can embody using motion, energy, and emotional states with fluidly and curiosity. From subtle and gentle motions to bold and powerful movements, this dance aims to stretch the dancer to their limits, in order to create a more immersive and transformative dance experience.
