bliss.city.east was formed by Kim and Perry from the band Skylight in 2008. It was formed because Kim and Perry worked well together and they both wanted to play live shows. Since the rest of Skylight was in Boston. Kim and Perry started off on a journey that is far from over.

Born and raised in downtown Manhattan, Samuel was surrounded by musical influences from an early age. His mother, Linda Langford, was one-half of 70's feminist folk group, Jade and Sarsaparilla, while his father was a student of experimental composer and pioneer, John Cage. Even his grandfather, Manny Albam, was a noted jazz arranger and friend of Dizzy Gillespie. With a passion for music as part of the family bedrock, Samuel’s ability to write and perform compelling tunes for the masses is no less than a natural extension of his musical heritage.

A distinct product of his urban environment, Samuel pulls from a broad spectrum of musical genres to create a sound all his own. Upon teaming up with B-Roc and JPatt, the powerhouse duo behind The Knocks, Samuel kicked off his career as one of the brightest new rising stars. They met at a time when all were eager to expand their musical endeavors and their teamwork quickly led to Samuel being signed to Columbia Records in 2009 and the release of his critically acclaimed single "I Heart NY" soon thereafter. The threesome's opposing backgrounds enabled them to meld styles and create music that wasn't genre-specific; which results in the innovative sounds that can be heard on Samuel’s debut album, Trains To Wanderland. 

Just a few years after Wanderland, Samuel is now in the producer seat. He is still writing and editing his own songs, as well as for others — including artists such as Alex Winston and Tempogeist.  His most recent work ,"I'll Drink To That," was recorded by Warner Bros. recording artist Outasight and is currently the kick-off album single already receiving airplay on Z100. With experience DJing open format, and a number of successful remixes (including R. Kelly, Christina Aguilera and the official RCA remix for Usher’s “Numb”), Samuel has also created a name for himself DJ’ing parties at night clubs like Mulberry Project and The Jane. He is also currently assisting DJ’s, like Mia Moretti and DJ Equal, with engineering and production in studio mix work. Not losing sight of his musicianship and with the help of his second home at HeavyRoc Music Studios, Samuel has multiple on-going original projects — both writing and producing — that include One Room, Songs, The Knocks, Alex Winston and his own solo venture, Samuel.

Da Chief  is a North American rapper, writer and entrepreneur who was born in Methuen Massachusetts in 1976. At the age of 14 years old Da Chief started freestyle rapping with his brother in law who became his mentor.  In 2000 Da Chief opened Money Matters Productions. In 2002 he performed at the Spanish Festival in Lawrence Massachusetts. He released 2 albums on the streets with the label.
           In 2004 Family Affairs Records was founded and released 3 records on the streets thus far. Da Chief is responsible for bringing Tony Sunshine, Maino, Opera Steve, Prospect and Terminology to many events in New England.  In 2010 Family Affairs Records  opened Insight Studio in Manchester, New Hampshire. Fadeout separates itself from a big bulk of other artist in a sense that
they are not simply satisfied in writing good music with interesting time
signatures and unconventional arrangements, but wish to also portray a
concrete message: the world is in a need of a social change. A good
example of
this is the song Palestine, which was written by the bands singer Marko
Pajula after he was banned from entering the country of Israel for ten
years without any reasonable cause. This kind of a political theme
combined with more traditional finnish love tragedy melancholy can be
found within the bands debut album which is released through Secret
Entertainment on the 22nd of February 2012.

Entitled To Protect Our Way of Living, the album brings you a mix of
alternative and progressive rock influences that are forged into crossover
prog in a way that reminds us of such great bands as A Perfect Circle, Faith No More and
Porcupine Tree. The album was mixed by the legendary producer Tim Palmer
(U2, Ozzy Osbourne, David Bowie). The band has worked hard within the
world of rock for the past decade and Fadeout is the culmination of their
relentless efforts. They have gathered huge interest towards their sound
that has a flavor of a certain 70's wibe, brought into the new millenia."

BIO:

Dare Dukes' songs are a striking combination of incisive intelligence and sweet, doleful hooks. Looking past the shiny surfaces of American life, the Savannah, GA-based singer-songwriter chronicles the everyday world, mining the margins for the eccentric characters and bizarre events that are the heart of his music.

Born and raised in the exurb of San Jose, California, Dare grew up as the state blossomed into what he calls, "exit-ramp culture"—a maze of smoked-glass franchises and cookie-cutter subdivisions that took root along the vast network of interstate freeways. "Everyone knows the clichés about suburbia: It's a stark, sanitized landscape, pretty much soulless,” Dare explains. “No one needs to remind us of that. I'm more interested in the poetry I see there--the weirdness, the anomalies, the resistance. Even in this unlikely grid you can find courageous people and precious things."

Moving to Minneapolis in his twenties, Dare began playing music as bands like Soul Asylum, Babes in Toyland, and the Jayhawks were emerging to define that city's post-Replacements sound. Influenced by seminal post-punk groups like the Pixies and Fugazi, and musical raconteurs like Tom Waits and Kurt Weill, Dare fronted the Penelopes, a frenetic quartet that was a fixture in the city's rock clubs. After moving to New York City, Dare took a hiatus from music to focus on writing and theater, but began playing out again, backed by friends and expert musicians Mark Boquist and Paul Garisto. This collaboration led to the bulk of the arrangements for the songs Dare produced for Prettiest Transmitter of All.

"America is a crazy, scary, and fascinating landscape," Dare says. "The reality is a lot more interesting to me than what the nightly news depicts. The way I see it, it's a place filled with eccentric characters, all on their own strange mission--some nuts, some saner than the rest of us. These missions, these people, they are what my music is about."

Dare Dukes is currently recording his second record, due for release in spring 2011.
