Way to use all those loops earlier in the mix, superb sounding, all you need to do then is focus even more on those tracks and up their minimal building, or find more tracks that do that; that vibe probably is more focused for clubs/dances though. i straight up love those minimal moments though, best moments in techno are those types of moments

The latest Hijacked Techno Sessions sees a contribution from Detroit OG, Ray 7! 

Known for his productions on Underground Resistance as The Unknown Soldier and as the drummer for the Galaxy 2 Galaxy live band, Ray has travelled the world with techno music and in this latest mix, he offers us a flavour of more local talents. 

More recently Ray has been involved with Tec-Troit founder and former Hijacked Techno Sessions contributor, DJ Roach. As part of the two piece live act; NF - 2.

In Sessions #21 expect to hear a broad range of genres, mixed live and 'off the hip'!

Sthlm Murder Girls is the name for the musical friendship between Johanna Schneider and Philippa Pacho and at the same time an homage to the duo between Surgeon and Regis for whom they share a deep respect. The relationship between Schneider and Pacho is founded by the similarity in music taste, and the fact that there are probably few that takes music more seriously. Together they let dancefloors experience a uncompromising and suggestively dark, but always energy-building with a clear focus and a dynamic selection of killer tracks. With Pacho in Berlin, and Schneider residing in Stockholm where she both brings DJs to Under Bron and runs her Bossmusik label, the duo meet up in the booth on a regular basis. So far they’ve conquered most of the floors in Sweden, including all the major ones in Stockholm, Malmö (Babel and Kontxt) and Gothenburg (Mythos). They’ve also played at legendary about:blank, Chalet and Arena in Berlin as well as festivals such as Yard and Norberg. They play both for the crowd and for themselves, sharing newly found records with each other, letting the floor take part in their common never-ending musical journey.

Free Dubs #05 comes from Croatia's heavyweight producer / mc duo Boombardub. This one's a deep and weighty digital killa with Jah Kajgaan on the lyric and Kalou on the Riddim + the riddim track.

Boombardub is a dub duo from Croatia, Vodnjan a small town near Pula.

The duo started playing dub music in 2015, and after that started doing their own production.

The duo consists of Kalou the producer, and Jah Kajgaan
the songwriter and singer. Short after that, they started releasing songs and doing gigs around Croatia.

Currently working on their first album, soon to be released!

Smoke Machine Podcast 085 Ancient Methods

Formed in 2007, Hijacked quickly established itself as a fundamental part of York’s underground scene, with a reputation for putting on nights with a fantastic atmosphere and great music, playing host to DJs and live acts from all over the UK, at clubs, free parties and festivals across the North of England.

Originally a breaks and electro night, Hijacked is a night that refuses to be confined. An open mind to music and to DJ’ing that has seen it evolve over the years, along with its supporters, residents, collaborators, promoters and DJs, to put on some of the most memorable nights on the underground scene. 

Recent years have seen the Hijacked residents return to their spiritual home of techno, establishing the night as one of York’ only out-and-out techno nights and differentiating it from the crowd with a unique sound, energy and atmosphere. The Hijacked residents themselves bring years of experience, quality and great taste in music to the floor, united as they are by a common taste for dark, underground music and dancing, as well as a passion for playing the music they love to people on the dance floor.

Taking up residency in Mansion Underground in 2013, Hijacked will be continuing to bring their unique sound to the party with some of the best established and up-and-coming names on the UK techno scene.
